I feel dirty; I've never posted here before

Anyway, on to the point. This will be my first time owning a firearm of any type. I've shot a few times before, but never anything serious and not for many years. The aforementioned firearm will be a Smith and Wesson 6906 9mm. I got a pretty good deal on it and couldn't pass it up! I'll be using it almost exclusively for target practice and as a new hobby, however it will double as a home defense weapon in the event that I ever need one.

I'll be on the way to pick it up after work this evening. For anyone who wants to see, I'll snap some pictures later on tonight.

Looking forward to having a legit reason to cruise this section!

Pics: Sorry for the crappy pics, cell phone =(

Coooooool. Just a little story about one of my fellow teachers. His next door neighbor, a retired cop on drugs and alcohol, freaked out one day and started running around outside with a loaded shotgun. A bunch of cops came, and my friend was evacuated from his house. Prior to this, his wife wouldn't let him get a gun. She's thinking twice now:eek:

    Congrats.

    It goes like this:

    First handgun
    Second handgun
    Third handgun
    Shotgun
    Pistol-caliber rifle
    Assault Rifle

    Gun safe

    Ammo
    More ammo

    More guns
    More rifles

    Bigger gun safe

    :D

    Or something like that.

    Enjoy!

There are many variations of this formula, each one custom tuned to an individual For example, mine went

    BB gun
    small rifle
    Big rifle
    Bigger rifle
    Small pistol
    Big pistol
    Bigger rifle
    Assault rifle
    Ammo
    ammo
    ammo
    ammo
    shotgun
    small pistol
    ammo

    There are yet undiscovered variables

Thank you for the correction, sir.

    Yes, the combinations are limitless.

I like yours a little better. Heavier on the ammo...

I find it very funny, (and disturbing) that you are military, (an MP at that), yet our government has an issue with your background check. You are issued firearms for your career, but can't personally own a shotgun without beauracratical delays. That's just frigged up.

Good luck and THANK YOU for your service. God Bless you and yours!

Could it have something to do with WV, and not the Feds?

I know they use numerous data bases when doing a background check.

And as stated above, thanks for your service...:oldglory:
