FS: Viair onboard air system

This is a feeler of my OBA system. You get everything you see plus all the wiring for a nearly plug and play install.

Viair Super duty OBA kit (PN:10008) New= $489.99
UWS Black tool chest with everything already mounted (TBC-36-BLK) =$431.25
You also get all the 4Guage wire to run from the battery and to Ground. The whole system goes to a quick disconnect so the box can be unbolted and removed without tampering with your wiring. (wiring worth about $100 bucks)
I have a bit over $900 in this setup. I'm pretty firm on wanting $600 for everything + shipping if you need it.

You would not want just the chest. It would have holes in it from where the stainless bolts hold all the OBA components in the box.

I'm going a different route for OBA. Or I may go with out, I want a locker.

 

I'll ask around for you to my buddies who aren't on any forum. Though they'd prob make their own haha.

Is there still room to use as a tool box or is primarily a chest for the OBA?

 

Lots of room in the tool box still. I have all my recovery gear in there as well and there is still room left for plenty more.

 

Any interest in selling without the box? I don't have much interest in the box itself, adds a lot to the cost for something that I wont use.

Interested without the box if you would do something closer to 300+shipping.

 

If the box were still useful with out the OBA system in it I would separate them. All of the compressor system is mounted via stainless steel fasteners to the box so if everything were removed I would end up with a box that was not sealed from the elements very well thus very hard to sell separately.

 

Okay well if no bites seperately and you decide to, let me know. I really don't want to lose bed space to a box etc.

Haha no problem. The holes are on the bottom, couldn't they be patched with bolts etc? Sell the box to Lrgrnr using some bolts, and me the air system

 

there are holes in the upper sides as well. The mounting job is correct, not half ass. you can see the VIAIR specific shelf bracket that hold each compressor. the left side has 4 extra holes, same with the right side (1/4"). There is also 4 more smaller holes holding the regulator and on/off switch + gauge in the top rear of the box. And, a hole in the front for the air chuck.

 

The compressors are mounted about 10-12 inches off the floor of the box so it can still be used as a tool box with the air system in it.

 

Oh it totally looks great, I just mostly do overlanding/long trips and bed space is important, really do not want to lose it. Like I said, lemme know

 

With the compressors mounted that way you actually gain valuable space that is securely locked! Shipping to "EH Land" may be a nightmare though unless you have a border address.

I'll let you know if someone wants the swiss cheese box separately from the OBA though

 

Can you run tools off of your system?
