In a way, yes, but both are excellent choices. Pelfreybilt products are top notch.

Sorry I got one more question about the bumper. I had a bumper powdercoated before and when it was all rock/ chipped up it was hard to paint over it, so what do you go about covering up scratches and what not on the bumper since yours is powdercoated too?

Sub'd! seems like everytime I find a build i like they either military or have a miltary back ground (Most being Marines too which is crazy) but really digging your build! im shooting for something like this an Overland style i guess you could say
before you went long travel did you remove your flares for a while? looked like you removed then painted black on the edges
did that help you with the rubbing when the springs compressed or what was the reason? cause i currently have an Icon stage 3 set up cosidering on trimming a bit so it doesnt rub as much when compressed

Well what I did with the flares before was a little complicated. So the flares I have on now are actually the second set of fenders and flares. The idea with my original set was to go flareless and thin the body out. SO what I had done was remove the flares, patch up all of the holes, and then had a line-x type of material put over the holes. Well, that didn't last more than about 6 months because rust started to form under the line-x type material. So I said screw it and ditched those flares and just went with a shortened set of flares. Overall, very happy compared to what I had on before.

First off love the truck, going the same way with mine, other than the LT. I'm running Dakars and icon 2.0 remote res myself. You ever go back to the dakars with extra leaf? how are the shocks doing with the extra leaf? I just put my kit on finally after 6 months of collecting everything I wanted, now thinking of adding the AAL too.

Good luck with the rest of your deployment, home you get home soon. I'm about to leave on one myself in 4 months.
