So I pulled the diffs, shipping them to east coast gear supply monday for 4.56's and a front arb locker to match my rear arb locker.

Also sending the CV's to CVJ axles to be remanufactured. 90k miles on them so its time for some maintenance.

Last week I bought some metal and built a bed rack for my roof top tent. I used 2.5"- 3/16" thick angle iron for feet, and 1.25" 14 gauge (0.83 wall) square tube.

heres a pic before it was finished-

Looks good josh! Is it shorter than you tent? If it is then your good if not you might want to add another support across just so you can use the clamps on the tent

Tent overhangs 4" on all sides. Tent iirc is 48x56 and rack is 40x48

Perfect! Nice job! I have to add extra supports because my tent is like 3 inches to short on the bedrack

Stub shaft comes out really easy lol. Thanks for the suggestion Ant!

I have my clamshell and 3rd member wrapped up in rags and Saran Wrap with some cardboard too. Should be well protected against fedex's destructive drivers. Just need to drop them off tomorrow and hope they get back here by next weekend.

Well the 3rd member and clam shell showed up this morning so I got a quick start on it. They are both bolted back in the truck but I got called in to work. Tomorrow or Monday I'll fill them up, reconnect the rear air line, run the front air line, and fish the rest of the wire harness out of the dash so I can connect the front locker switch. Also need to install the new cvs and bolt the spindle back to the lca and put the wheels and tires back on.

When I change my gear oil after 500 miles I'll do a transmission flush too.

How hard was the front to install? I have to order one soon. Debating doing it myself vs letting ECGS do it.

    try what?

it's a pain in the ass for sure, but if you're handy its not that bad. definitely let east coast gear supply build the diffs for you at least.

rear is done. front is just about done. just need to change passenger side tie rod and pop the new cv in, then bolt it all together and fill it. maybe another hour of work and it'll be back on the road.

70mph indicated or actual? I can't remember what I'm turning, I'll have to look when we head up to BD this weekend.
