At this point probably. I think he got into a lot of snow when he went a couple weeks ago and it has probably worse since.

I'm guessing there's too much snow for any more trips this year, next summer I guess.

    Thought so...
Are you running chains or is the snow just happen to make it look kind of like you are.

The install on these is simple and they are a super clean set up. I'm stoked on them but just like anything there is a learning curve in tuning and understanding how the ORI's work and that they are not simple coilovers.

We had to clearance a small notch in the coil bucket to fit the very cool top hat that Jerry built, it wasn't much probably could have switched to a button head but didn't feel like tracking own down.

Way easier than any coil I've installed so much room with the size of the ORI's and Total Chaos UCA's are the beef compared to both the Camburg (Ball joint) and Light racing UCA's, although I'm curious to see how the alignment goes this afternoon.

Uncharged and sitting on the bumps, they are the Timbren Tacoma bumps from Wheelers that I've been running since originally putting 35's on the truck.

stupid neighbor dog pissed on the tire while it was sitting outside.

Now the fun part charging the nitrogen, setting the ride height and scratching our heads between test drives measuring and adjusting.

I ordered the single fill kit from ORI the gauge goes to 600 PSI. We filled both the lower chambers setting the drivers side lower chamber @ 110 passenger @ 100 (full weight on vehicle). We then filled the upper chambers @ 600 using method 2 fill procedure with no weight on the strut drooping out, set it down and had no lift. So we then changed out the gauge to a 0-4000 PSI and played with a range of 700 up to 1100 using increments of 50-100 PSI and taking a 1/4 mile test drives (a lot of them) for a final of drivers @ 900 and passengers @ 850. We used the method of measuring the amount of piston showing to achieve the ride height and have no more Taco lean as it ended last night and looking at it this morning. I plan to see how it does and make adjustments as needed which is the really cool thing with the ORI's. I don't think there is an exact formula on these and it will be a continued learning curve. As for the recommended charge from ORI that went out the window and it was trial and error. Some tricks from a hydraulics engineer I was told for filling them was to go slow as possible cracking valves and give ample time for the nitrogen to settle take lots of notes, measurements and don't be scared to play with them.

    This morning.....

Have some All Pro expos to install today then get it aligned and go drive it to see what I need to adjust.

900!!!! whats the blow up point for these? I thought it was somewere around 1000?
What regulator do you have? Been building a parts list for a fill bottle of my own for these.

They have a 5000psi inner seal 900psi is totally fine. Now if your jumping your truck 30 ft in the air you might spike to 3500 to 4000 so I was told not to go too much over 1500 if needed.

So how much total lift did you end up setting yourself at? once you have the expos on you are going to drive around and see how you like the firmness and if that needs adjusting as well i assume?

THAT'S what it was. Must have been you that told me that then jerry. 900 is a lot more than i anticipated putting mine. Looks like my regulator just got a bit more expensive haha

Wow!! That is some pretty high pressure:eek: I wasn't expecting that. What is your ride height?

So the expos are on, and we played with the front some more never made it in for an alignment so that will have to get done on Monday.

On the front we set both sides equal at 900 upper and 190 lower setting (wanting more rebound) the lower at 190 made for a very stiff ride. Tomorrow I plan to play around with it some more and drop the pressure in the lower chamber. These things are super tunable which is almost a bad thing as there are so many settings but it seems like working within ranges is the way to go.

With the ride height as it sits I have about 1" of down travel we set it high anticipating the expos with the shackle flip and it looks proportional to the rear as the rear settles I can drop the ride height and gain more down travel.

I had time to adjust the ORI's again tonight, set the lowers @ 110 and uppers @ 800. It lowered my ride height just slightly but feels really good driving it. I blew up the 600 psi gauge, the problem with the 0-4000 PSI gauge is the increments are to large the gauge came from a welding regulator that had a bad diaphragm and blown low pressure gauge. I plan to get a 1500 or 2000 psi gauge for the fill kit and want to get a regulator to go between bottle and fill kit to save me from blowing up any more gauges.
