    Thanks guys.

My build thread actually got partially erased last time i edited it. The first pics are without the spindle lift. I do have the spindles in the offroad pics. the spindles stick out my wheels 3/4 of an inch on both sides. I do believe my rims are 4.5 Backspacing

I saw you wanted to put 295s on, that would look really nice! What kind of tire?

    an all-terrain like the Dynapro's.
I would love something more aggressive like the General Grabbers but I'll have to see what I could afford.

Sounds good either way 295s will fill those wheel wells! I just got 285 Trail Grapplers and they look sick! I love the aggressive look but they were pretty damn expensive

If i could get some 285 Grabbers or grapplers for the same price of the 295 A/T, i might just down size

True you could, I dont think there would be a major difference if you did. I got 4 trail grapplers for roughly $1300, but i bought the free replacement and whatnot for them too, so it added another $180ish to the total price

I should have mentioned the 1300 was for the installation and all the other stuff discount tire throws in there...the tires themselves were $285p/tire.

Those dynapros do look good tho and i can imagine they'll get better mpgs than mine lol

295 dynapros are about $230, plus the extras that you mention.
I do want to stay in the 17-18 MPG range as well
    I guess Dynapros it is.

Thats not bad at all...I know my tires were just as much as the 295s cuz theyre out of stock "everywhere" in 285.

But yea im afraid to calculate my mpgs now...i was just goin looks anyway :D i dont really care too much but yea Dynapro doesnt seem like a bad choice at all. Are you goin to that Mod day?

so here is how i reinforced my tailgate.
    I used a 1" x 34" stainless steel box tube.
I just wanted to reinforce the weakest part that is most prone to bending.

I then drilled small 5/32 holes on the spot welds since they ressesed a little, so that will help fit the screws.

Then I forced the tube between the tailgate frame

Theres about a 1" channel that the tube fits flushly with. its not visable so i drew it.

I used a vise clamp and alined the tube to its final location. predrilled the holes so the sheet metal screws didnt struggle to enter the stainless steal tube

I was able to secure the tube with 10 screws.

the screws dont get in the way once the plastic moldings are bolted back on. The tailgate is not much heavier as well.
I guess this mod is just for piece of mind next time i load up a welding machine.

I also decided to finaly use my mini quickfists and mount a hatchet in the bed.
