Nuthin' like spending a boatload of $$$ that you don't have on something that is purely cosmetic for a truck that has over 120K... :p

Yes, I'm stoked on the seats. It's money that I should have saved, considering that I am facing a $15K knee surgery with crappy insurance and will require a lot of time off work -- but I don't give a shit, I deserve to do something nice for myself :p

Still need to ship the bumper cover from my folks in NY to Seattle. UPS wanted an arm and a leg to ship it across the country, but I recently found out that Greyhound Package Express will ship it on a bus for a reasonable amount.

    1. No. I am a fan of the stock-ish look you are going for.

    2. Yes. I've always thought the chrome grill surround looks a little cheap.

    3. No. See #1.

    4. No. No offense to anyone that has these, but I personally think they look tacky. Plus, see #1.

Great looking truck BenWA! I love the look you are going for. A couple of questions for you if you don't mind.

    1. Why did you get the Spidertrax wheel spacers? Did you need them to avoid rubbing issues or are they more for looks (more aggressive stance)? How are they working out for you? I am considering purchasing a set.

    2. Do you recommend the 5100's with a stock coils setup? I have been debating whether I want to go with a Toytec coilover setup, just 5100's with stock coils, leave the front suspension as-is, or go all out with a set of Icons. I'm trying to figure out what will give me the most bang for the buck.

TIA. And I notice you live in my neck of the woods. Where do you go off-roading? Since I have moved here, I am trying to find some decent places to go off-road. Thanks again and sweet truck!

I'm pretty much on your same page, except for the eyelids. I saw em on a Taco for the first time in person yesterday and really liked the look. I'm just gonna do a color matched grilled bezel for now.

Thanks for the good words! I got the spidertrax mainly for looks but also to broaden the stance for stability to compensate for the raise in CG due to lifting. As for tire rub, the spidertrax make the rub issue worse if anything since they effectively increase the arm if the spindles.

As for what kind of coilovers to go with it all depends on your needs, intend use, and budget. 5100s are great bang for you buck and improve the ride over stock huge. They are more than adequate for moderate off-road wheeling on the weekends.

There's lots of good spots outside of Seattle. Check out Evans creek or Naches Trail down near MT rainier. You'll need a lift and good tires for either though.
