5280EM!: SWB DC LB Build "Blue"

Decided to start a build thread to keep a time line of my build.

I bought the vehicle in October of 2009 with 26K miles on it.

The only picture I have of my truck when it was brand new. Taken during a duck hunting trip. Which ended up being a awesome day.


Had the truck for a while and decided to get a Leer cap and paint the steps black instead of chrome.

Along the way came some weather tech mats.

Decided to do the Satoshi grill with Hella 500 behind the grill. Needed new tires so I got some 265/70/17 Goodyear Wrangler Duratec. At the same time decided to do the TSB for the rear.









Ordered some DDM 55W 6K HID for the front head lights, 35W 5K HID for the fog lights, and converted the Hella 500 with DDM 35W 5K HID

Just cleaned the truck up so I decided to take some pics. Took off the side steps.











Picked up an AFE CAI on craigslist.

Ordered 5100, OME 885, Toytec TACO lean spacer, Light Racing "SPC" UCA, ICON 1.5" AAL and Black Rock 909B wheels.

Will update when install is complete.

Box of goodies came in right before the weekend. The only thing left is the new wheels.

So the suspension installation took 9 hours and it was will worth the time. The only thing left is an alignment and still waiting for the new wheels to show up from 4wheelparts.

you need to hurry up and put all that stuff on your truck is going to be really sick what wheels are you getting

 

Truck looks awesome. You're gonna love the LR UCA's. I just had mine aligned yesterday. The Toyota tech has a racing history and he loved the ease of adjustment. My alignment is awesome, the truck runs down the road great. It drives like an UN-lifted truck. (Though I went with the Toytec ULK, I'm loving it!!)

 

Thanks for the comment "easy". The wheels are 17x8 Black Rock 909B. They are suppose to be in sometime this week but we will see. Once it's here I'll do the install and alignment.

 

So I just got the suspension installed yesterday. Let me know what you think. Better pics to come once the weather gets better.

 

hey i really like your truck............did you have to do any custom fabrication to mount your lights behind your grill looks like you just drilled a hole and used a longer bolt i wanna do this mod but dont wanna use the 120$ bracket for the lights

That's exactly what I did. I'm thinking of fabricating a new light mount but haven't had time. I think there a guy on here who used some aluminum edging to make his. I might go that route.

New Wheels just came in and my little girl gave the thumbs up approval.

 

Put the new rims on and decided to go cap-less.

So I just ordered my projectors for the retrofit and thinking about putting a bed bar across the back for my basket and bikes. I'll post some updates as soon as it's completed.

Your truck's looking good man, nice clean look. I really like the grill, your truck looks badass from the front!

 

They are OEM Toyota running boards.

 

Nice build. How much lift do all ur mods add up to?
