Yeah the bds/fox's are pretty long..Just swapped my billy's out for them. Luckily im right around 5.5" of lift in the rear so they work well so far.

Finding the right shocks are a pita. What bumpstops are you running in the rear? You defiantly need something shorter with those expo's

    Trucks looking good Matt! :jellydance:
My custom length Icons are close to the specs of yours. 30x18. They sit at about 25" normally so I have about 7" of up and 5" down. Will be going OR next month so i'll find out how they feel.

Thanks! U have a sweet rig!
    What's your rear spring setup?

    I wish.
Maybe the shock bottoming out prevents the other from full droop :notsure:

Oh word. Was also looking at the fox 2.0 non resi that comes with the 4" BDS lift

    · Extended – 26.17”

If you are going to buy new rear shocks you should consider chopping your OE shock mounts on the axle off and replacing them with tabs on the front of the axle and building custom hoops. With a 6" lift and the correct shocks you should be able to cycle a 12" or 14" shock. In my experience the top OE shock mount is just too low.

the billy b110 are actually made for that 4" lift...just happens to work out great with a shackle flip as well :D

i know i pull every inch out of that shock with my setup...

i'm working with ICON to get a shock that will work with my numbers... but the billies are a great out of the box option for cheap...

i'll know more about the ICONs in the next month

Thanks. I have about 5"+- of lift in the rear on reg factory leafs. I'm running 2" block, a 2" aal, and a custom leaf I added for another 1" or so. I will get rid of the block someday soon and get some Alcans.

Pm sent about what Icon told me when I got my 2.0's built.

rear, if you build custom mounts and hoops you can use a non custom shock because you are putting the mounting locations in the correct places. my shocks are just regular king 14's...it is the proper mounting locations that let the leaf pack flex out and the shocks use their full travel. If you remove the oe shock mounts yourself and grind everything smooth you could get tabs and hoops under $500

Take your shocks and rear bumps off and find a spot to flex your rear end. I guarantee you can get your Allpro flip plates within a couple inches of your frame - mark / measure that spot then droop it out and measure the total travel difference = what length shock you need BUT I would bet you can't fit the proper shock into the stock mounting locations... That is the prob.

    Dayum! What kind were those?

I'm kinda looking to just put a band aid
So basically impossible to get full travel out of a shock in stock positions?
