now we cant unscrew the steering to put the steering extenders on..hooray! Long day..I think we're gonna call it quits in a bit. We're gonna go to the toyota dealership right now to check how the differential is mounted at stock

I wish it was that easy. Since my truck is 4wd and the prcomp kit is a DB kit, they had to cut the cross member. Where the crossmember was cut also had the stock mounting area which we are going to have to add in when we rebuild the cross member. We had to rebuild it anyway, we just not have to add some room for bolts.

That is for the driver side mount, the passenger side mount is the bracket of the arrow on the right, but mine seems to be missing a rubber piece on one side

Alright so finally got the drop bracket removed. The front dif is resting on a block of wood right now and we are in the process of building a new mount/cross member.

So here you can see where the cross member was cut for the procomp kit. Time to make a new one!

We still can't get the inner CV stars off so I think while I'm at work tomorrow I'm just gonna have a shop replace the axle shafts.

alright well visually not much was accomplished today since we all worked. Made a template out of cardboard for the new diff mount and started making the mount
    [IMG]

and got the fenders and bumper off
    [IMG]

Stuff you dont see that was accomplished..got my axles in the shop and will be ready tomorrow. Got the hubs out of the procomp spindles, but had to order new dust plates so those will be here in two days..freakin 16 bucks each. On another note, my upper shock mounts never got packed into my box so I will have to get those soon. I contacted James at the SD Truck Shop and he's on it. More to come later in the week

Alright so got the spindles grinded and the gussets welded on. Just put a coat of paint on them. Need some 2.5" 9/16 fine thread bolts. Lowes, home depot and kragen doesn't carry them. Ababa Bolt does, but they're closed tomorrow. Going to try Napa tomorrow and if not see if toyota carries them in stock. Once I get those bolts, we will remount the front dif and begin welding the cross member that was cut out. Not much to look at today but you can see the unpainted spindle...hooray!

Looks good! You sure have a lot of extra work to do cuz of the 6" lift. Keep up the good work.

yeah so far nothing has gone smoothly haha. Last night as we were just starting to weld, my water softener blew up in the garage. After that happened we called it a night. I am kind of thankful though because if I had been sleeping or at work, that would have been an insurance claim for sure.

So looks like we may finish tonight! Got one TC side put on, extended brake lines on both, spindles finished. Just finished the new mount that was removed when the DB lift was installed.
