I don't necessarily call this a build - but I'm a proud tacoma owner so I have to share.

It's an evolution. I've spent 5 years with a 96 tacoma that I modded up mildly when I owned it. From that to a 92(totalled) & 94 Jeep Wranglers(still own). To a Dodge Ram(previously owned) Corvette (still own), and my current tacoma.

This truck is a daily driver. It doesn't go wheelin (that's what the jeep is for). It'll haul my mulch and anything else I need. But for the most part, it's the first NEW tacoma and I wanna keep it prestine. Most of the modificaitons I do are for a reason (not for looks).

2007 TRD Sport, auto, access cab purchased March 2007.
Oversized OEM oil filter and Mobile 1 engine oil.

    My Modifications:
Ipod2car PXDP ipod integration (REMOVED after 5 years of usage)
USA Spec PA15 Toy ipod integration
    C2C hood struts (no pictures)

Installed Dueler Revo 2's in July 2011.

    Future plans?
Nothing really.... I might upgrade my scangauge to the newer version (currently 3.15). My USA Spec unit acts flaky sometimes - not sure how long that'll last.

Problems and/or issues with my 07
Front Bumper repaired/painted to remove holes from license plate (as part of purchase agreement - local paint service)
Got the spring TSB done - simply because I know the stock springs won't handle the weight of a full bed of mulch
Front Bumper re-painted (original paint job from above started to bubble up and flake off - same local paint service)
Radiator cap leaking - replaced by New Holland Toyota
Three of my wheels bubbling up & corroding - replaced by Lancaster Toyota.

:D I've *been there done that* with my 96 tacoma.

If I had chitloads of money floating around - I'd probably go-4-it. But the house deserves & needs the money more than my truck does (unfortunately).

    It's a driveway Queen - I'll admit it :p

Jan hows the toyota fog switch, is that light bright? Expensive? Do they offer a driving light option maybe?

Looking really nice Janster! I think it's smart to do the really needed mods before the just wanted mods, when the money frees up is when it's time to do those!

janster.....your tacoma looks really good, and the mods you have done are really nice. sometimes, subtlety is the way to go...........instead of going crazy with some things, it gives your truck a nice clean look.

That heated driver's seat mod looks like a real PITA. Did you really do all that, or did you just pin 'em to your seats under the seat covers? :D

    Thanks Gang!
Sorry I've haven't been back here, this never popped up in my 'new posts' ..until today.

Dark Knight, The light on the switch isn't bright at all. The switch was cheap ($14 total shipped) and it's actually a Toyota part. You can use that same switch for fogs or driving lights (or any lights for that matter).

TacoCo - yeah, we did all that - with the tywraps & such. I did use duct tape on the foam instead of the lame tape they supplied with the kit. It was a royal pain in the ass when we (husband and I) were doing it - but when my ass is warm this winter, I'm sooooooooooooooooooo very THankful we did it!!

tacomaman06 - believe me, I want more!! :D But I seriously hate working overtime ...;)

I MUST visit Chickies Creek someday!

Seriously, how do you like that Garmin? I was looking at the 205GPS. I have to do in the field visits and some of these folks live seriously off the beaten track. The 205 is the "lowest" model that offers voice prompts for turns (I think).
