That reminds me I still need to change the transfer case oil and the transmission fluid. Haven't done the tranny before so ill have to study the write up.

Because I'm too lazy to look it up and I'm changing mine soon, what's the gap supposed to be?

And, what diff fluid did you go with?

manual transmission is fairly straight forward...drain and fill til is starts to flow out

diffs, tcase and tranny used 75w-90 gear oil (mobil1)

if you have auto and/or LSD in the rear then you'll have more things to watch/do

gap on plugs should be .043..those pics are what the old plugs came out to showing the wear on the plugs

gapped mine at .042 this time around on the new ones

Cool, yeah I'm running 75w-90 Mobil1 as well. I started out with Lucas 85-140 as ECGS recommends, but changed over. That stuff is ridiculously thick, and it could just be me, but the truck feels peppier and appears to be getting better gas mileage with the Mobil1 (haven't put a normal tank with no wheeling/hard driving through it yet to actually see).

I had been using 75w90 royal purple and just changed to 85w140 Lucas in my rear diff. Haven't noticed any difference but I can imagine the thicker oil could be better.. The diff oil was pretty bad looking after less than 30k miles

thinner oil=less resistance so peppier feel and better mpg seems possible

i know toyota recommends 75w-90 so i stay with the recommended oil. been running that in the diffs since the re-gear as well and it's been doing the job.

wonder why they recommend the thicker oils?

so truck did amazing in moab

VERY pleased with the setup now

tires rub a bit if i am mob'n through some whoops or 2-wheelin and climbing up an obstacle, but it's not that bad..might take a bfh to a couple more spots but it's not necessary at this point as 99% of the time it's not going to rub in any bad way

tires kicked serious ass out there..grabbed onto rocks like a champ, extra height made a few ledges a bit easier to climb, had them aired down to 16psi all week with no issues and not to mention they look bad ass haha..got a lot of attention at the event lot

only issue i really had was the uniballs got damn noisy by the time we left and my rear springs were squeeking like crazy..also had my passenger side spring get misaligned a bit

so, rear packs will have work to be done on them before next moab round

but besides that, a thorough lookover needs to be done and a deep cleaning and i'll be ready for round II

    :woot:

oh and tons more video and pics to come eventually :D

took lots of go pro footage on all trails

ran Kane Creek Canyon (thursday), Dome Plateau (friday) and Lockhart Basin (saturday)

Yep we ran solo most of the way which made it go by just a lil quicker. Did you all run Elephant down to Devils crack and through Beef basin? Now thats a long way around.

no...i been eying that way though...was thinking of taking it backwards into elephant so i can run it with my dogs..wouldn't be able to do all the hikes in the park but i'd be able to get them in at least

would be a nice overnight trip

sounds like beef basin has tons of side attractions to explore

crazy how much there is to explore down there...beef basin/elephant hill, san rafael swell, dolores triangle, castleton/gateway, hole in the rock are just a few that have been added to my list this year..will be a while to get to them, but they won't be going anywhere from that list
