Yeah but I haven't actually lived in GA for four years now lol

Hopefully I'll be moving back down south after my stint with the AF is up..

Tacokid, Chances are I might get stationed in Cali next summer, you'll have to show me some trails to hit!

I'll keep you in the loop on that lol

That's my in-law's dog Sally.. She stays at their place, no joy riding lol. I've actually not gotten to drive my truck yet! :( I'm deployed until later this year. Had my wife pick the tacoma up for me after I sold my Tundra.

My grandpa has an '89 Toyota Pickup that I've loved ever since I was a little boy. after seeing it run for over 220,000 miles and it's still on the original engine I couldn't pass up on the new tacoma! The automatic tranny was the final tipping point since I wanted my wife to be able to drive the truck comfortably. (and I'm a lazy driver.. I've got the samurai if I want to stir the tranny a bit lol)
I think I speak on behalf of the entire TW community in saying, "Get her the Tacoma" ;)

Got it all figured out.. I was looking at the URD kit that just came out for our 4-bangers.. I can't justify putting a centrifugal charger on the tacoma though.. it makes sense on an x-runner.. but for the low end torque my 4x4 truck wants I need a roots type..
So after lots of searching I found the one that fits the bill! Harrop HTV1320
it's based on the Eaton TVS design which looks pretty sweet. (same style as the tundra supercharger)

I'm gonna figure out what all would be involved in making that work.. see if part of the URD kit could be used, i.e., intercooler/coldside pipes/MAF/fuel pump & injectors..

it'll be 2-3 years in the making, but I think it would be a sweet fit!!

    Any thoughts?

EDIT: This has been trumped by an opportunity that has fallen in my lap..

So with lots more research completed.. Here's another list of things that may be coming somewhere down the line!

    Mysterious Link

After finding literally no support for a positive displacement blower on the 2TR-FE... I'm gonna be working on fabbing a custom intake and all the other pieces to build up a full kit.. Depending on how that goes for me, I might see about building more than just one piece.. I'll keep you guys informed and if/when I get mine closer to being completed I'll see what kind of interest there is in the kit idea.

Bottom line, don't get your hopes up, but if I can feasably get it going I'd love to get more people running the setup I'm wanting to build!

After theory-crafting all of my forced induction options I was made an offer that I can't refuse..

I'm gonna pay shipping and get a pair of Garrett T25 turbos for free. With one of those I should be able to put down 220 at the crank at 6-8 psi, and it's a small enough turbo that it should spool quickly on this engine.

If anyone has gobs of turbocharger experience I'd appreciate any and all words of wisdom!!

Planning on running a single top mounted one. the size I'm getting should spool super quick to give nice lowend boost. planning 7 psi, if it will push out 10 psi I know Gadget had run 10 psi on stock internals of the 2TR-FE.

Gadget also said he'd sell me the supercharger kit they just developed minus the supercharger, So I could be looking at a very slick set up with only slight fab up on my part!
