Well needed to update this.
I had to make some changes in the back. A trip to the woods made me need the jack. It was a total pain to crawl over the tire, with cover installed to get the jack.
So a move was in order. I used Hi-lifts mounts and did a relocate. I also picked up a jack cover, afer cleaning the mud off and giving it a lube job I wanted to make sure it stayed clean.

The bed light, well doing the military black-out caused problems. The heat ended up melting the housing, so a new one was in order.

For those using alum to attach items to the bed rail, make sure you get think stock, the thin stuff will get stress cracks.

Pretty clean if I do say so myself.

 

here is another jack pic, the lock (pistol) has been change to something more heavy duty.
Look close, it has now been used

 

As for the front, I went with a color matched grill, and went ahead and painted the billet grille black.
Still need to paint some areas behind the grille, but a light mod is in the works again.

Still have it, it's hanging in the garage. After doing this work I never put it back on.

 

Well since I never did a job like this, picture was fitting. Thanks to a number of guys here, went real easy, except for a messed up bolt.
Had a lame truck for a few days, but the next pic tells it all.

 

And her we go..............got in the Toytec deal, and boy am I glad. I went with the 700 lb springs, just due to some weight up front. Now the ride is stiff and I like it. But hey if I wanted a Caddy ride I would of bought a Caddy.
The bolt on the UCA went bad, no clue why. But I ordered one from Total Chaos, plus found a shop local who can get them cheaper.

What's up next, its already done................rear bumper time.......

Bumper time
I went with a Kennesaw Mountain due to the fact my wife got it for me.
I only had to use a couple of washers on the bottom drives side. Was an easy install, but I am about 1/8" off. But oddly enough it is on the same side as the AP front bumper.

Shackle holes were a little bigger, I fixed this by useing steel braided hose, gave to a tight fit, and they won't make a bunch of noise going own the street.

Next up was the lisence plate holes, I did not care for the plate lights, and in all the searching I could find nothing. I ended up plugging the holes, a few coats of primer, then a few coats of black then pushed them in. The S.S. hardware you see matchs the front bumber. This is for the tow hitch that can be removed at any time.
Now for plate lights, well I used "tag boltz" from Custom Dynamics, the are bright LED's. Sharp to say the least.
I did have to cut down my plate a little, I am in the process of finding some sort of plate cover in the right size. This lisence sticks out like a sore thumb.

Man, I still love those wheels!

 

I used hydraulic hose from a super sized earth mover. I had to cut it with a hack saw.

I cut it a little oversized to fit between the shackle, so you send the bolt into the shackle through the hose then screw.

Hard part was I had to put the hose in the opening of the shackle mount (on bumper) then force the shackle over the hose, a little oil helped a little to slide into place. Then screw the bolt into place, this was a little tough also but boy the fit is nice.

They stay put, you basically have to pull the shackle up to attach something, BUT once in place it stays at the location.
