with out setups, the wheel backspacing won't make you rub the cab mount more or less really. it'll just change where on the tire the cab mount rubs. more backspacing will have it rubbing closer to the outside of the tread, and less backspacing will have it rubbing towards the center of the tread.

probably just wait till LT and then go nuts and 1/4'' plate it when clearance isn't really an issue anymore.

oh and it's trimmed a little more than in that picture now that I think about it. that picture was from back in Kansas. I trimmed it a little more at rich's house the weekend before barnwell.

Just take the coilover out and stuff the tire, turn lock to lock and remove/trim EVERYTHING that rubs. That is the proper way to clearance.

They never made it over to TW...from TTORA build thread on the IN board (from 5/2012):

Gray stuff is seam sealer. Fenderwells were welded in then sealed completely.

Mark, i was talking with former member Johnw yesterday and refferred him to your build. he's fitting 37s on a stock length arm setup (next week i think) and was asking me if i forsaw any issues other than the obvious. he already has fiberglass fronts, and has a spindle lift. i said that the spindle lift, which moves the hubs both down and out may be his saving grace. i think they're 2'' spindles, which mathematically would make me think that fitting 37s would be as easy as fitting 33s, in regards to fender well clearance. figured he may be able to get away with a couple slaps of the sledge and be good. he's on 35s now, so the cab mount is already taken care of. thoughts?

Everything I did to fit 37's [at the firewall] the average Joe needs to do to properly fit 35's since my LT moved the spindle 1" forward. As for vertical travel he won't have much to do if he has lift spindles.

I was able to push the firewall back a good 2" with a BFH and cutting/removing parts. I moved it so much the interior kick panels no longer fit properly and had to remove a bunch of material from them as well. Also said bye-bye to the dummy pedal.

he's got total chaos lowers. i'm not sure if they move the hub forward or not. if so, it sounds like he's going to get off extremely easy. if not, he may may be in for some serious firewall work.

Hey Colin, you have any complaints from your EBC rotors? I was looking into the powerstop cross drilled and slotted ones from wheelers but I'm seeing a few people have the EBC brand.

zero complaints with mine. i'm on ebc dimpled and slitted rotors, and the green stuff pads. they held their own when i pulled a 6500 lb boat/trailer 900 miles from VA to FL, and i later came to find that a hydraulic line on the trailer brakes had blown before i even left, so it make that hole trip without trailer brakes. they stop the 35s effectively, but it does take a noticable amount of more pressure to stop quickly. they'll still lock of the tires though.

that being said, i'll probably go with the yellow stuff pads next. more agressive pad that should stop a little better. they won't last as long as the greens, but pads are pretty darn cheap, so i'm not concernted about that.

    looks like a tight fit....
you're either fatter than me, or need more travel. probably the second......though the first would be funny :D

watch your mouth boy, i did not! i respect my tires.....therfore i made love to them.

You did it with 35's though and Colin did it with 33's didn't he? That gave him some extra room. haha
