Someone has to give you shit for buying a Fiero!

But in all honesty, it looks like the car will do exactly what you need it to do. So  for that. I'm sure it'll be a fun car to play with.

    for the turbo kit

The fiero and mr2 are practically the same car. Ive also looked for a project car (not dd like you) in the same styles. Mr2/miata/eclipse gsx. Typically coming up with the same results you found or people asking too much for a 20 year old vehicle.

As for the tow chains, next time twist them and itll wrap themselves up to shorten the length.

it's got the "iron duke" in it....has a similar reputation in the fiero community as the older Toyota motors, being robust and running forever.........plenty of room with the mid engine for a turbo too.

already doesn't have air bags, so it's not like it can get any less safe

a good friend of mine in college had a similar year MR2 that I got to drive a number of times. as soon as I hopped behind the wheel of this thing, I felt like I was in his car again.

with a 300 lb tongue weight, I know they'd be fine, but that's a great way to snap chains. severely reduces what they can hold. trailer will never put that kind of force on them, but you never want to twist a chain that will see any significant load.

unfortunately no, if it were a sunday, no problem, but I've got a decent amount of time off for thanksgiving and Christmas coming up, so taking a Friday off two weeks from now would take the presidents approval lol. what's going on up there?

I figured someone in your new circle up there could use that. I'm gonna keep an eye on the price for shits and giggles.

Are you both on the same schedule at least?

very similar schedules, but I work on the main site, and she works at a remote office a few miles down the road, so unfortunately no carpooling. then again, it's only 4 miles from home, so it's not like we're burning much fuel.

I was looking at your companies web site the other day for employment options after graduation. They have a few open spots I may have to apply to.

Pay me double and I'll think about it. :D

Night shift wouldn't have helped the marriage any.

On another note, the insurance adjuster came back with the quote to repair Smokey. I'm headed to the shop tonight to look over the itemized list, but the number the shop told me was $4,200.00!

if you're not afraid of moving and long hours, the pay/benefits, and the cool things you learn and experience are well worth it.
