Creedler's College Kid Build

Hello TW,

I feel my truck has slowly started to come together so it’s worthy of a build thread. I have never really introduced my self either. My name is Max I live in Eugene and Pacific City Oregon. I’m not an experienced off roader but I’ve been keeping a close eye on the meet and greet threads so I can meet some of you folks and do some light wheeling! All comments on my build are welcome.

Truck specs:
2010 Toyota Tacoma Access Cab, SR5, V6, Auto,4x4. I bought the truck new from Dick Hannah in Washington February of 2010.

Only pictures I have of it stock:

Building Character: Just wanted to get this out of the way. Here is my first mod

AVS window deflectors and front Tint:

Gt seat covers:

Flotech exhaust with chrome tip:

First Lift (fatbobs spacer & aal): Not on the truck anymore. As you all know, drove like shit!

Wheels and Tires: 285/70/17 Dick Cepek tires with Raceline Raptors wheels matte black.

Viper 350 HV:

Partially completed sound system: Would like to build a different box someday but here are the parts used Pioneer 3200BT with bluetooth no navi, Scosche double din dash kit and Metra wire harness, Axxess steering wheel control interface, Kicker 10ZX750.1, Kicker Z series Amp Kit, 10in. Solo Baric L7 Sub, and home built sealed box.

New lift: Thanks DSM and Toytec for the great customer service and help! Parts used.

From DSM: Bilstein 5100's front and Bilstein 5100's Rear '99-06 Tundra fro 2"-3" Lift part # RCD-BE5-B110-T5

From Toytec:Toytec/Eibach front coils, Light racing uca's,Front 1/4 spacer to fix driver side lean.

Parts used from old fatbobsgarage.com spacer lift, 2in leaf,Front diff. drop kit, U Bolts.

Plasti Dip rear hubs:

Leer 100 R super white canopy with Thule Rack. Bought used from Craigslist awhile back. Not sure if I wanna keep and try to do my own paint or trade for toolbox/ headache rack (preferably protech). If your interested in a superwhite canopy for a long bed let me know! Obviously local pickup only.

Future mods:

Weathertech floor mats
Elite offroad armor (sliders, front and rear bumpers)
AFE stage 2 dry CAI
Protech Headache rack, Toolbox
OEM Bed Mat
Ahh the list always goes on…

Thanks for reading

I feel fortunate to have had the opportunity to own a new taco. I'm nowhere near having it paid off though I bet you paid your escort with cash!

Nice build. You make it out to sand lake since your so close? I love to stop and eat at the bar and watch the rock and Dory fleet. Love Pacific City. Spent alot of time there when I was a kid.

April 2012 Update:

Got an OEM toolbox off of Eric’s old second gen a few months back.

Being a poser with the Relentless sticker for awhile until summer when I order some sliders and possibly a front bumper.

Installed using the bed rail system, steel squares and carriage bolts.

Decided I wanted a full 7” screen to look cleaner and a rear USB so I swapped out decks for the Kenwood DDX-719.

Bought an Escort Passport 8500 X50 and hardwired it in. Still need to get the “super cup” for mounting, as the original suction cup-mounting bracket is flimsy.

That’s it for now. Saving up for a Kimber Ultra Crimson Carry II so the taco mods have been put on hold for a while.
