Hard to say, whats the roads like where you are? For me, I constantly shift between 4 & "D" to drive around. If I go up a hill sometimes I even shift down to 3. If i could I'd go 4.88 Especially if you plan on going 35's.

It's all pretty flat where I live. My daily commute is flat. Alright cool man I'll definitely take that into consideration. And another question. Is it gonna cost me an arm and a leg of I get gears now and then add in an ARB locker later. Or is it best for me to just wait till I have the money to do it all at once.

I would do it all at once. If you're mechanically inclined, you can order the diffs from East Coast Gear Supply with the gearing you want and ARB's installed already and install yourself. Then ship back your OEM's. Save a ton doing it that way. I did the rear locker first, then did the gearing and front locker together. Would have saved a bunch if I just did it at once. Everything is already apart anyways. Not going to cost more in labor. Just A LOT more in parts lol.

That's what I was thinking. Thanks for the confirmation. I am pretty good with that stuff but if I get too lazy to do it or don't have enough time with my work schedule and all, around how much do you think it would cost in labor if I had someone just swap the diffs?

Hard to say, depends on the shops I guess. I'd check in the local forums for your area and see if others have had it done already.

For sure. There is a dude at this awesome shop called South Bay 4x4 in my area who is very knowledgeable and has very fair prices. I'll have to check with him. Cool man thanks for all the insight I appreciate it. Definitely will be following your build. Keep up the good work!

Yea, then fresh powdercoat, also the rear suspension is getting done after some delays. Then hopefully the vinyl wrap will be done!

That would be awesome!!! My father in law did some vinyl wraps on his wakeboard boat and his other speed boat. They turned out really cool. Around how much does wrapping your truck cost?
