Ha! If I get new ones we can work something out. So tired of coils sagging on me.

How long ago did you order yours?

I got mine around February of this year.

got ya. I sent OME an email regarding the issue. we will see. Might have to order another pair and make sure they are the updated coils. Gonna go by Sierra too since i purchased them from them

guys.

Sooo.. my gas gauge needle is effed.. lol

When replacing my gauge face, I thought I set the needle back to the correct position, but apparently not. Now. When filling up, it wont read past between 1/4 and 1/2 tank of gas. It tries.. but then clicks back down.. Like its stuck.

I think its reading its "full" and wont go any higher, meaning I need to reset it so that "highest" point is actually at the full mark instead of where it currently sits.

Only way I can think of fixing it and knowing where my fuel level is, is to fill the tank to full... (until the pump shuts off) then turn the truck on, let it reset the needle, and then set the needle to the full mark. Ill just have to watch it for the duration of the tank, see how many miles I get, then when it hits the low fuel light, fill it up again and see how many gallons it takes.

 

Yeah that would make sense, bummer you have to go through all of that again

Don't do what you just said above...you can potentially damaged with needle (mechanically)

 

I did. Thanks! Well, I just followed the instructions which stated to rotate them counter clock wise while pulling up to basically "unscrew" them. I was gentle with everything and pretty confident I didnt ruin the motors.

That's what I did. I guess I didn't get it right on it past the reset point tho. Everything else seems to be ok as of now. The RPM, speedo, and temp gauges all work fine and reset to zero.

Ill get to working on it today after work.
