Hey guys thought I would share the result of the other build that I have completed.

The 1UZ powered 4runner is back on the road. It is running all factory gauges, toyota R150F









I have an 85 straight axle sitting in the shop getting put together so I can swap it too. Hopefully this summer that can start next.

Great build! I love what you've done with the truck and even more so the motivation and sentimentality behind it.

 

So I have been off here for a long while. Here is what I have been upto....

1994 4runner with lexus 1UZ 4.0 V8, sky's SAS kit using custom built 3" springs. I am running an elocker with 4.88's in the rear and sky's wide axle kit for the front running long fields and an FZJ80 high pinion with 4.88's as well. I am running 315x75x16 Geolanders on FZJ80 wheels. Lots more as well. If anybody has questions, feel free to pm or ask here and I will try to go thru what ever is needed.

My company started building our own motor mounts, body lifts, and other components needed for the motor swap. I also became a vendor for SKY Manufacturing so I am carrying there parts now.

























So I still need to pull my Downey 3" rear springs and install my FZJ80 springs so I can level out my rear end. I am also working on an aux. fuel tank for the rear, and a tube rack for the top.

I am thinking about taking the next year off and planning a trip across the US with the Taco. I would like to visit all 50 states and do some wheeling in each. So the 4runner needs to sit on the back burner for a bit. Time for the Taco to get some gears, a smaller pulley for the SC, an under bumper winch mount and some rock sliders, ect. Planning stages are in full effect now!

I hope everybody is doing well. I will keep this updated as often as possible.

 

Havent done much with the taco lately. Looking at the bully dog tuner and possibly getting a URD 2.875 pulley.

Taco is going into the shop this week for a defective drive pulley off the crank. It has developed a squeak and has a hairline crack in it. Dealer says it looked like a casting defect. There replacing the pulley, and all belts. Took them almost a week to get parts.... Anyways, getting ready to plan a trip here in the next few months.

Thought I would post a few pics of the 4runner for everybody. Double elocker, solid axle and a 1uz is the way to go!!!

I was considering the 5VZ swap but now.....

 

Been a while for an update!

Figured out what the problem with the Taco was in regards to the squeak! The idiot that changed the oil and checked the air filter pushed the intake tube too far back and covered the crank case breather. This caused it to over pressurize and give that annoying squeak.

I did just finish a trip down to Tahoe. I didn't get to do any real wheeling but the Taco did make it up to the Rubicon Trail. Just Awesome....

The 4runner is coming along nicely. I picked up an ARB fridge, ARB roof top tent and awning. I also just finished a batch of spec built 1UZ billet flywheels. So I upgraded the cast unit to one of our new billet donuts. Things are coming along nicely. I will update with pics soon!
