Jhu616's Build

Updated 1-5-2012

Here's my Tacoma story:

When I graduated highschool in spring 2011, my dad bought me a 2006 Lexus gs300 as a graduation present. Anyways, long story short, car was definitely not my style and traded it in on my tacoma in July of 2011!
The truck is a 2008 4x4 6speed DCSB Silver Streak Mica Rugged Trail Edition and it came with no mud flaps on it (they were included), a magnaflow exhaust, and a UWS toolbox.

Heres the mods to date!

Magnaflow Exhaust
Ipod hookup
Painted TRD skid plate, Toyota emblem, brake calipers, and drums black
Debadged except for the Tacoma emblems
Differential breather mod
K&N Drop in Air Filter
Eibach Coils
Bilstein 5100s x4
Toytec Taco lean spacer
Toytec AAL
Axle Shims
Toytec Differential Drop Kit
New Extended UBolts

Soon:

BHLM
LEDs for all lights
HID headlights & foglights
New UCAs
New tires...probably 265/75-16 to preserve the mpgs that I do get
Front window tint
Stainless Steel Brake lines
URD Short shifter
Color-matched grille & bumper
Lightbar

More pictures to come!

Thanks! And ehhhhhhh.......this is my first vehicle thats ever had a aftermarket exhaust system, so its taking some getting used to. From the inside its kinda annoying and has a noticeable drone. On the other hand I let somebody borrow the truck once and got to hear it drive away and approaching and it sounds pretty damn good that way! Basically, I like the sound, I just wish I could make it a weeeeeee bit quieter in the cab. Have no idea about performance gains though because it came on the truck when I bought it in July

Got all my new parts installed, along with changing the spark plugs, cabin air filter, and new brake pads and rotors. Got to get new tires and an alignment done now. 1st 2 pictures are from pre-lift, and the others after everything was done

Got my tires rotated and an alignment done! Also bought a set of Toyo Open Country A/T for when my Revo 2s give up. Truck is done for now as my bank account recovers. Feel free to comment and/or give suggestions!

Thanks! And I set the 5100s at .85 and the Eibach coils give 1.6 of lift so around 2.5 inches in the front, and a 2inch Add-A-Leaf in the rear.

I'm a fan of the color matched grille. Satoshi is my next mod. Still waiting on the $$$ to do it though!
