After everything got fixed, I was surfing Xr-u when this amazing deal came up on a set of TRD Neoprene Seat Covers, the guy had gotten the Head rests custom stitched to say "X-Runner". This began my modding and always hunting for discounts, Almost nothing on my truck was paid full price for.

As part of the Black Friday deal back in 2010 I bought my AFE CAI, Magnaflow exhaust, and UNICHIP Performance chip. All together was only 980$ I think. All things I no longer have on my truck.

The Magnaflow exhaust had this MASSIVE drone sound right at 2100 RPMS and throughout most of the driving range, it had to go. It was replaced with a flowmaster cat-back. The local shop that did it here butchered the job, the whole things gotta come out and be replaced. On my to do list

I got in on the Slim cuddy group buy for 8K Headlight HID's.

The missmatch looked horrible so I got in the next group buy for a set of 8K Fog lights to match. And got a set of Andres Devil horns!

At this point my Taco got in its second accident, I was inside a Toyota dealership picking up a signal light bulb and this girl comes in asking who owns the red Tacoma out front. She backed into it with her husbands brand new Toyota Sequia. I don't have a picture cause it was dark but it smashed my passenger side headlight (HID bulb survived thank god) and scratched up my front bumper. About $2,300 to repair.

During the second set of repairs, they washed my truck outside in -30C weather, then proceeded to rip open the door they had frozen shut, ripping off half of my weather stripping in the process, since it was their fuck up, they kept it another couple days and fixed it.

Around August of last year I came across a guy on Xr-u desperate to sell his used Supercharger, the URD MK1 kit. I ended up getting the whole thing bought shipped and custom's fee's paid for to my door at the sweet deal of 2040$.

Thus began my S/c madness, and a lesson for all to buyer beware when buying used. The retard basically tore it off his truck, slicing hoses and electrical connectors alike, causing me a massive headache to source all these ruined pieces of the kit.

I had to replace 6 hoses, 4 connections, about 10 various sized hose clamps were missing, 2 structural brackets that held up the intercooler, the entire power wiring harness for the intercooler coolant pump (relays and connectors and wiring), plus about 5 unique sized bolts that all had to be custom ordered. Also the coolant reservoir had a crack down the side. So I just replaced it with this universal one, still gotta order correct tank.

After all was said and done, my supercharger install was about 13 hours labour, 16 hours running around town sourcing parts, turned a 2 days job into a 9 day job. And put the total installed cost of my S/c around 2400$. Which is still super cheap but god damn was I pissed off for a week. Of course, all that went away the moment I took it out for a drive :D
