Thanks Mike. Don't know if I will need that much fuel, but hey better safe than sorry right. As for the water canisters, they will just come in handy I guess.

Got to figure out a way to put them in the back of the truck so the weight is distributed.

So I got my exhaust rerouted, which meant I had to get rid of the crossover pipe accommodation on my skid. Let me tell you, this was a PIA to cut off, but after about 4 and half cutting disks it was gone


Cut a piece to fit in the old place.


some booger tacks (the lens on the welding masks wasn't charged so had to do it with out looking)


Had to cut out this groove to make sure it fit and didn't vibrate against the exhaust.





All flat now

Thanks Mike, I got quoted a range of 100-600 at one place. The second place I went to quoted me 150 for regular pipe and 250 for stainless. I went with the stainless, cause I cant stand rust. The oem exhaust is kinda a stainless/regular steel mix, so it doesn't rust as bad. I probably should have gone for the regular stuff, but rather just do it once, and it not bite me later.

Definitely need the clearance right now, on my sagged out suspension....see how she goes.

$250 for stainless eh? Ouch. Think I paid under $100 for my reroute with stainless steel. But I know a couple of guys at the local exhaust shop so that helps.

When do you plan on lifting your rig?

Yeah the reroute hurt, considering i knew how much you paid. Needed to be done though.

Putting on the lift really all depends on when i get my bumpers. Also, i have to make sure i stash enouh mula for school first. So hopefully this summer if the bumpers ccome in time, but next yearcould be a possibility. Just seeing how she goes right now lol

Nothing crazy. Full OME, with 886 coils and dakars in the back, paired with the nitrocharger shocks. Already have the uca's, so thats one thing out of the way. May get the bumpstops and the brake lines this year and then go with the lift next year. Not sure yet, really all depends on what expenses come up. See how she goes. Lol

See how that goes. Few little projects that wont break the bank. Keep me busy until my bumpers come.
Well summer pretty much came and went super fast. As much as I told my self I wasn't going to be working as much this summer, and would put time aside for camping and wheeling....I worked. My Uncle has a farm where he gets pretty busy, and since he got injured last winter, he kinda depended on me to keep things going. So I got a few things done in my free time which was very minimal.

First some pics on the farm. Lots of diesel runs, and hauling one thing or another.




As for work done for the truck, I painted some 1st gen rims. Was so busy this sumer it took me almost a month in a half to put 4 hours into these rims. Didn't even get to finish them, but that's life right.

how they were

all cleaned up. Just used a wire wheel to get rid of the peeling coat and used some light grit sand paper to try to have a smooth finish


Painted them a matte black.

I bought 8 rims for $250, where they all came with center caps, plus one set had lugs so I was pretty happy with that. Got 5 rims painted and still need to do clear coat and paint the center caps.

As for my back seat storage I took out the plastic storage bins and used the seat brackets to bolt a piece of carpet padding and carpet to the back to keep the road noise down and to save the cab from getting scratched or dented from tools and what not.

I didn't want to use any glues or adhesives so I used some lacrosse lace and sewed (to the best of my ability the padding and the carpet together)




to give an idea how it looks with a seat up


All in all the carpet was like $30 and the padding was $50 but I have enough to make a platform for the dogs so $80 for 2 projects isn't too bad.

In other news, bumpers are paid for and should be arriving in a few weeks hopefully. In super excellent news, I made a few extra pennies this summer to get my lift so just have to find the time to get over to Ski at Ct motorsports to get stuff and put it on.

Build is coming along quite nicely dude! I love the extra space you gained taking the rear seat plastic storage out. Still want to do that myself but i think i'll go with some sort of dynamat type stuff. BTW, great sewing skillz! lol

Whatcha planning on doing with those first gen rims aside from the obvious? they going to be for wheeling? They turned out great with the new paint on. Still got your stockers, you don't want to use them?

Thanks Mike, took a look at yours and i must say those 35's are pretty sweet. I was thinking of going with dynamat but price and adehsive kept me away. Always run into issues dealing with tape stuff lol. As for the sewing, could always use the string if i get into a situation and need it.

The plan with the rims are to run mud tires on them and use em for a summer set (wheeling), and keep the 2nd gen ones for the winter and run an all terrain set of tires on em. Plan is to pajnt the second gen rims when thr first gen rims go on. All in time though. At the end of the day, trying not to run a mud terrain tire in the winter. Gets kinda sketchy haha.

I know how you feel! Running KM2's last year on an icy highway at speed is a bit of white knuckler at best. Definitely not advisable for around here.

I talked to a local stereo shop a month ago or so and they were willing to give me a chunk of dynomat at a decent cost instead of getting a whole roll. Don't really like using adhesives as well, but I doubt i'll ever reinstall the plastic back in her once its out.

Planning on getting out for one more run this year?

Lucky you can get a roll haha, I figured it was gonna cost too much. IF it was cheaper the adhesive wouldn't have scared me as much lol. I don't think I will ever reinstall the plastic bins, it just makes zero sense.

As for another run, gotta see with school. I know there is one in bob at the end of October that slowe was telling me about, but got to see how she goes, always around exam time ...I was hoping though to run out to Niagara in a few weeks to pick up my bumpers in the US. slowly ordering parts for the lift after that.

edit: btw how did you like the km2's? Were they good on the trails you have run? There one of very few tires that come in a 33 skinny. Good wear? Did you experience any chunking?

Yea, once those bins come out, they are out for good! lol Looking forward removing them next week, i'm on holidays so I should have a lots of time to finish it up.

That run at the end of Oct. is pretty much the last run of the year before the trails are closed up. So if you can, try and make it. All that studying and no fun can be hazardous to your health.

BTW, KM2's were awesome when I was running them! Great traction offroad and fairly quiet on road and they wore fairly well. I only ran them for a summer but I didn't experience any chunking whatsoever. If I hadn't gotten such a great deal on these MTR's I would have went with the KM2's again.

Talk to Kevin on SONTT (fjttse) about the 255 KM2's he's running. From what he's told me, they been really good to him so far.

I'll have to check out the details on SONTT and see if I can make it. Got to get the skids back on, and make sure I can run the trail with a lower than stock suspension . lol

Good news on the KM2's cause honestly I don't know if I will be able to find anything else in that size that wont be as expensive. Only other tire is cooper discovery which is pretty limited I hear. Oh well suspension first then tires. Thanks btw for the name, ill have to pick kevin's brain on the subject.

little update:
last few weeks I have been ordering stuff for the lift. So I got brake lines coming and bump stops. TOday just put in the order for the OME kit.

Also bumpers are shipped, so hopefully I can pick those up in a few weeks

Its all finally coming together

Well Christmas is coming, and I have a few weeks off from school, so I am hoping to find some time to do a few things.

-mock up relentless bumper
-get bumper painted and then final install
- get truck lifted-->have to find some time at ct motorsports to go between now and school. He has had my suspension parts for soo long.

doesn't seem like much, but with the busy-ness of the holidays, and a trip to Montreal planned with the gf's family we will see how it goes.

If anyone can give me some pointers on the bumper install like things to look for when taking the front end apart, would be much appreciated. Im hoping to use a hand winch/come along to hoist the bumper in my garage, and mount it that way. Any better options? Any help again is much appreciated.

Hey Peter, good to see you finally got that Relentless bumper! What do you plan on painting it with? How much would you say that weighs?

As far as I can remember, the front plastic bumper came off fairly easy. Pretty straight forward, got a few clips to watch out for. Nothing I can think to tell you to make it easier on ya tho.

When I installed my allpro I just had a buddy give me a hand to lift it up into place. So much easier than rigging up a hoist. If you like, I could always give you a hand to install it. I got pretty much two weeks off over the Christmas holidays....

Im planning on getting it painted and sandblasted, since my garage is going to be too cold to paint it. Hoping to just get a industrial kinda paint to it, which should be easier to touch up in the future.

I think the bumper is over a hundred pounds (I think on Relentless page it says 115lb, but who knows). Im hoping to get my dad to help me during the whole process, but he we will see if he is up to it. Worst comes to worst, ill take it down to my uncles shop and he has a bunch of hoists, and lifts which would make the process a lot easier.


I think right now im planning on removing the grille, and just trying to find all the clips to remove the bumper. Want to get it mocked up before its painted, then cruise around with just the crush bar on for awhile. :P

Did you get your bumper yet?
