awesome truck, is there a reason you removed the rear fender flares? did the shock hoops mess with them or what?

Looks like a great setup! Got any pics of how you mounted the rear shock to the axle? Also with the hoop positioned it looks like it causes the shock to lean inwards.. is that typical?

Let me know how that goes cause I was thinking about the same thing!

Sweet setup, I've been looking into doing something similar with my rear suspension.

Did you cycle the rear suspension when you determined your shock size?

Hey this is Landon the fabricator of this truck, The shock is there because that's where it fit. It was like threading a needle between the frame and the tire. One side benefit is with that angle on the shock it will fight body roll a small amount.

Not before we got the shocks, I knew with that spring it would need no bigger than a 10" travel shock. At the slightly forward angle it uses all but 3/4" of the shock.

So it bumps out before the shock bottoms out?!

So now you just have to get a rear hydro bump & you're setup would be awesome:cool:

Yes that always the way you want to build it. The rear really doesn't need an air bump with this setup and this valving.

why wouldnt you want a air bump in the rear? valving only determines how slow a shock compresses/decompresses. unless theres some type of internal bump like people do on bypasses..

    It is custom

I just mean its got enough valving in the shock to slow the rear compression enough that it doesn't bottom out hard at all. Maybe once we get a dual shock on the front and his speed picks up even more it will need a bump in the rear.

ahh gotcha. but you think the rear can keep up with how it is now with a air bump in the front and a dual front shock setup?
