And yes, to the interwebz, it is still clouded in a mysterious fog.

It is really nothing to brag about. Simple in form and function. Going to sell this setup, and redo another so that the turbo will sit more properly under the hood. The current setup is compatible with the Precision Turbos, up to the 6766 size.

 

^ so you're saying I could get one of these fancy 1GR turbo manifolds soon and be boosting before I know it?!

wish I could go for it more-less a hopeful comment on my part. I'm planning on springing for the 2012+ equal length urd headers if/when Gadget gets em fabbd up. So i'll likely be supercharged down the line since i'll already have nice exhaust mani's...

Are you working to turn this into a "1gr turbo kit" when yours is up and running well?

 

aren't those headers currently available? or have they been placed on back order

 

they are for years before 2012... in 2012 they started putting some dumb air injection part on the header to heat up the cats quicker on startup, boo!

 

Already did that. Helped PowerFab, here in Houston, create a kit.

Mine was the predecessor to theirs. However, since their fabricator left, I believe that he took the jigs with him.

 

and theres no way to remove that system from the engine?

 

At least I still have his #.

That is actually a pretty damn good idea. I'll talk to him the next time he is down.

 

Found the reason for the air bubble, in the killer glass radiator hose. The worm gear hose clamp, which is meant to hold the feed coolant line to the turbo, was broken. Had a broken "tooth" on the band.

I had move my truck back to bleed the clutch. There was a puddle of coolant on the floor. Checked over everything, and found that hose was very loose. Doubled up with two new hose clamps, and it was good to go. Topped it off, and ready for more boost-age.

Btw, where is the location of that bike race which you are participating in?

 

Took some pictures, which I need to upload. Axle seals on both sides have worn grooves into the metal, so that they no longer seal properly. Just a few months ago, I replace a worn axle seal on the driver side, as well as drum brakes on both side.

Pulled out the axles to be able to remove the 3rd member. Getting the TruTrac installed. Drums on both sides are saturated. Again.

TruTrac will be installed regardless. It is way past due.

Fixing the sealing problem, well.....I not yet sure if replacing the bearing will fix it, or a thin sleeve is necessary, or something else?

As a new side quest, due to this latest developement, I decided to get new upgraded rear axles. Woot Woot! Need to package them up and send them out

 

My truck completely changed after installing the hino. Took a little getting used to after the install.
