Here is my build so far. The truck is a spruce mica access cab 2012 with the 2.7L. It's an SR5 package truck with the OR wheels. I have done mostly cosmetic stuff besides removing the secondary air filter, adding a K&N filter, and doing the yellow wire mod. I also removed the mudflaps (PM me if you want them). I plan on keeping this fairly mild. I do some off roading so I will add a little lift in the future but my 4x4s have always been my daily drivers so anything too extreme is impractical.

So far I love this truck. Gas mileage has been good, power from the 4cyl is acceptable, it is a smooth driver, what little light wheeling I've done has shown the capabilities suit my needs (not necessarily wants) even stock, and it looks good to boot!

BTW: These are all iPhone pics. My card reader for my SLR quit working a while back and I haven't bought a new one. Sorry, I wish the quality were better.

Here is my truck the day after I brought it home. A good pic of the front end.

Here it is a few days later doing some light wheeling. Just posted this pic to get some back end shots.

I plastidipped the chrome pieces: grille, emblems, rear bumber. I also tinted my tail lights slightly.

    NEW ADDITION Bull bar added

I also added the Golden Retriever(yes, she's old) and Cathoula Leopard Dog (no, he's not) mod to the bed:

    Planned additions:
Near future: aux lights on BB, nerf bars, tonneau cover, dog hammock for rear seats (ordered), darken inside of headlights, diff breather mod
ASAP: 3" lift, larger and more aggressive all terrains

***I haven't decided on whether or not to black out the wheels...opinions?

    Looks great so far!
I just got my '12 spruce mica trd off road. I'm in the same boat as that it's my everyday ride so won't do anything to crazy. How did you the plastic dip for the lettering?

The lettering was easy. Do a quick google search and you'll see how. In short: 1) tape it off. 2) Spray a few coats. 3) Peel around lettering.

The bumper turned out really well. I may redo the grille eventually. I had a big gust of wind come through and made a few run marks but its not bad unless you get real close. I probably won't worry about it for now.

I've seen your OR pop up elsewhere and thought, "hey, that's pretty much my twin!"

I used plasti dip for the lettering. Is that what you are asking?

Hunter 4x4. I really like it. Not expensive either.
