Here is a a pic of it if you don't know what I am talking about.
I work on the Assembly line at the Texas Plant and all Tacomas have these 3 studs on the Right hand fender apron regardless of whether the truck has an ABS or VSC (4x4 only) braking system. On ABS systems the Acuator goes on these 3 studs. On a VSC the actuator is integrated into the master cylinder. From the looks of your pic, your truck has a VSC master cylinder and not an ABS one. 4X4's with VSC have 4 brake tubes with the fittings going to the front of the Master Cylinder. All ABS master cylinders only have 2 brake tubes going to the right side (towards engine) of the master cylinder. Another noticiable difference between ABS and VSC is the size of the fluid reservoir and the number of wire connectors (ABS has 1,VSC has 2).

Wow, thats some really good insight! Thanks! Maybe you can answer this one too: why is the drivers side rear shock behind the axle and the passenger side rear shock in front of the axle? Couldn't but notice the difference when I replaced my suspension last weekend.

I want to warn you, if you know the answer to these kinds of questions I might be hitting you up quite often. I am the kind of guy that asks "why" a lot. This is my first truck and I enjoy learning all I can from it.

Took the truck up to Mary's Peak this weekend and found a little mud puddle and some inclines. Just need a few partners in crime to tackle some mountain next time!

I am thinking of taking a trip to Hoodoo. I heard it has some pretty sweet trails, close to what TSF has. I'll make sure you know when I go.

Tyler helped me put in my ARB OBA and winch, also trimmed my front bumper. I'll be using his handiwork for a spare tire mount in the bed and to install my rear bumper, maybe next weekend!
