Starting from the beginning....First vehicle was a 1986 FJ60 that was only a few months older than I was. I would love another one. I miss the clutch bringing my knee up to my chest, haha, and the fact that I could get on an incline and drop into 4-lo and drop the clutch with no gas....and Betsy'd start climbing without a stutter.
After that truck I moved into the "Danger ranger"
She was given to me so I can't complain, but she came with problems. The roof leaked, the engine leaked, not sure whether or not that first water crossing was my fault or hers but I'm inclined to say hers All in all It was a welcome change to get into something I'd always wanted. So my view went from that ^ to this...
My wife and I traded in both of our cars to get this one, I figured, "I know I'm going to have kids" so I got a Double Cab, and "I know I'm going to build a house" so I got a Long Bed. DCLB FTW!! The specs are a 2010 TRD Sport 4x4 with the SR5 package. I knew going into getting this truck that it'd be mine for it's entire life, and probably live in my yard after that, so I didn't pay attention to the people who said "don't do irreversible mods". I wanted to make my truck my own, so I started to by taking it all apart hahaha.
I've started in with the smaller things to make the inside the way I want it, first thing I bought were weathertechs for everything in a group buy! The very first time I opened up my wallet on TW and certainly not the last. I swear I should just give my cc number to Namyo and pay for it later, hahaha.
Next thing I did was get a set of Wet Okole's, if anyone doesn't have a set I highly recommend them. I've gotten mud all over them, and they look brand new, amazing. I did the front and rears in black with white piping around the seams and the TRD logo in white.
I love the way they look in the truck as I'm trying to really get it to mostly black with white accents. At the same time I also blacked out the lower plastics in the truck, on the seat bases. Looks really cool IMO
After that I didn't do much, debadged all the way, then blacked out my "Tacoma" side badges and put them back on, only to take them off later.
Painted my engine cover out of boredom, got a little over zealous on the lettering, didn't turn out super great but oh well.
Then someone I lent my truck to backed into someone else while we were in New York, so instead of getting a new stock tail light I opted for a set of these
They cost less for a set than replacing the one damaged tail light. They look really good on the truck, and were actually the catalyst for meeting another member (Syntonization) in a Fred Meyer parking lot. He's helped me on numerous occasions with Taco Projects. Mostly he's good at helping me spend money.
He did my dash LED's for me
Then we undertook the projector retrofit. I went with the stage IV kit and I love it. Here's during the work party...
And the result...
I put a little detail into the lights when I put them on, just for kicks...
I've got a satoshi from Homertaco in the works that I'm super stoked about and the complete eyelid set from Toyota Man, it'll be cool to see it once it's all buttoned up up front. I've got a temporary satoshi done but the bondo isn't holding together real well so it'll be nice to have the official homer grill in place.
I picked up a brand new hi-lift and OR suspension with a revtek spacer lift installed this week,100 bucks for both, the guy gave me the rear suspension for free as well as a bunch of other goodies so I'm stoked to lift the truck a little bit. I'm curious what the spacer lift will do with the TSB in the rear. I THINK it should be about level, but I'm not sure.
What else....painted the lower valence, need to install the lower homer mesh soon, switched the hood scoop mesh, just finished recovering and painting the door panels...
I used an extra sheet of neoprene from Wet Okole to match the arm rest perfectly to my seats, looks really cool IMO.
Painted the A/C control unit black...
Installed my one of a kind shifter..
and got the ultra gauge! Love that thing.
Eyelids came in!

Of course I'd love the supercharger but I'm waiting for a time when I find I don't have enough power to get some where, the only time it might happen is if I start hauling snow machines up the pass but I doubt it even then.
Warn m8000s winch mounted on front bumper.
I think that about does it, but I'm sure I forgot some stuff. I'll update this post when I get new stuff, It'll be a slow build but I hope a fun one. I know it will be for me. Here's a pic of how she sits today. It's nice out!
Thanks for reading! I'll post pics once I get the new suspension on. Any input is welcomed and I won't be offended if something I want is unnecessary or dumb, I compiled this list from other posts trying to figure out what build would best suit what I'd like the truck to do.[/CENTER]
