So my wife has finally given me the "go ahead" (the actual words were... "that's nice..." but I'll take it:yay:) to start my dream of modifying my baby... '06 Tacoma PreRunner Double Cab. Been following TW for some time, but in the past few days I've been getting some great advice from Taco4x4 (thanks Chad), and here's what I've come up with. You veteran guys, help me if need be please.

**Looking to put in a standard Stage-1, 3'' lift to run some 285/65/18 on 18/9 rims. The tires should be ~32.5 (285=11.22_11.22x.65=7.293_7.293x2=14.586_14.458+18=~32.5) does that math check?**

If I read the older posts right, rubbing should be kept to a minimum, correct? I'm not looking to do "a lot" of off-road. Suspension travel isn't a big factor right now. I'm really going for the asthetics, and from what I've seen this combo would give a pretty stout look.
    Thoughts? Comments? ...Smart Remarks??:plane:

I think rubbing is gonna depend on the specs of your wheels as far as offset and backspacing. Also, are you going to run wheel spacers???

Congrads on Momma saying go ahead!

Hadn't considered having to use spacers. The wheels I'm looking at have a 0'' offset with 5" backspace.

I assumed that for this tire size, any BS over 4.5" wouldn't need spacers. Is that a bad assumption?
