I got off my ass and actually did some work this weekend. Fenders are now cut and ready. Now I just need to bang on the pinch weld, do the CMC, and have Eric cut/cap the front bumper. MTRs on order for next weekend :woot:

Here are some of the pics from my weekend fun. Yes I did most of it with a Dremel as I'm a little more proficient with that than other tools. I did use a body saw for some of the harder-to-get-to sections.

Taped up and ready to outline. Still hadn't taken out the wheel well liners.

    Outline laid for cutting

Here is the other side after my first cut

This is the first completed section. I left the tabs where the fender flares screw in so I have the possibility of making it look somewhat stock again if I need to go that route in later years

Sorry for being a picture whore.

Did you do any test fitting with your 35 spare? And do you have a picture from the front looking down the side of the truck? I'm just looking to get more pictures of guys who took the fender flares off with a plate bumper and the bumper sticks out beyond the fender.

I'm going to throw the spare on tonight and cycle it around to see whats f'd or not. I'll snap a couple pictures for you.

My flares are going back on, they've been trimmed 2" too. And we're also hacking off 3 3/4" of the bumper to line up with the flares so it'll all tie back together and hopefully look like nothing happened :spy: I'm just waiting for the tires to go on before I put the flares back on. It'll be the last thing I do.

Matt - here are a couple pics of the bumper and fender as requested. Sticks out quite a bit but as I said some of the bumper is getting hacked off.

Thanks for the pictures. I actually like the look of no fenders but I don't think I could have it look like that (my bumper would stick out about the same), plus the headlight hoop on mine would make it look even further out.

Now get that 35 on. :spy:

Well the bumper got chopped and capped and the CMC completed on Friday (thanks Eric!). MTRs were mounted and balanced yesterday. I have a little bit of rub at full lock passenger in reverse and I think if I flex hard I'll rub the UCA so I might do some small spacer action on the front, time will tell. Overall I'm super happy with how it turned out.

Rolled up to Peavine this morning to see how she felt. Oblig truck pr0n poser shots...

Damn, I plan on doing this for 35s in the future. Loving the look

Got a couple of questions, did you cut the same off the front as the back flares? Looks like 3" on both, also what are your alignment numbers, mainly curious about the caster settings.

    Looking good

    :yay:

Hard to tell by the angles but how close do the rears get to the front of the wheel well when stuffed?

That's looks really good, well done!! I don't have the balls to go 35s. Not yet anyway.
Do you have a measurement on how far the top of your bumper was from the bottom of your flares. Just on rough road and curb/driveway flexing I am getting contact. I think I have about 3/4"-1" on each side.

I cut out 2" from both the fender and fender flares. I didn't take home the number sheet and can't remember them. They were all in the 'green' though. Doesn't really matter since I need to get them f'd with again anyway. Next time I'll get the numbers for reference.

 About 2" from the front of the well.

Thanks man! I just went out and measured, only ~1/4" on both sides sitting flat. Weird that you have that much more and rub...

Thanks Max! Now just need to give it back its balls with some gears!

That was a guess earlier on space, but i just measured and its 1/2" on driver side, and 5/8" on passenger, but there is definitely contact. I can see the powder coating has little scuff marks.

Huh, mine touches when flexed sometimes but not on the road. Do you have everything tightened up
