Thanks... it is a limo... my customers... My KIDS! lol! Bought the Double cab to fit the kiddies, and wanted the longer box, so it was easier to load longer stuff in the bed. :)

Still haven't installed the lift.... Spring hasn't sprung yet, and it's still snowing... :/

I may have a tentative install date though..... NEXT FRIDAY! :) Gonna use my buddy's heated garage to do the work. :)

In the meantime... here's a sick deal I got on a double din Pioneer DVD unit....

    1003404_10152247150700020_1288426826_n-C_1fd2fa764a0423d1e6e1725ee8f1026390de1d2b.jpg

It's a floor model that was never wired up.... was just sitting in the wall unused... :D

Gonna order a Schoshe kit with the wiring harness and Parking brake bypass. Got more work planned for the interior when I install this bad boy! :)

Well, finally got around to installing my head unit.... while I was at it, I decided to change the color of the bezel, and climate control plate to black. As an added project... I painted the Hazard button black. :)

Got started on my lift! However said this was easy with basic tools... is a liar! lol!

And this guy.... is full of shit! :D

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5E6u7dC7EHg

Those cam bolts are a major pain in the ass.... and the next time I do a lift on a vehicle... I will be doing it on a hoist! lol!

I had a b!tch of a time trying to loosen those cam bolts... the outer ones came off just fine... but the inner ones were a major PITA! lol!

Ultimately got the struts out.... next step... bring them to the shop and have them compress the springs and install them on the struts. (the nut and bolt sizes on the video, were not the same as I had on my truck.... and in the end... the top nut just didn't want to break loose on the truck...)

More pics to follow tomorrow... :)

Finally got her buttoned up! Brought the old strut assemblies to our local Canadian Tire garage, and had them compress the springs and replace the struts for me. :)

Then I came home and installed the entire assemblies in the truck.... had some pretty mean "bro-lean" going on.... lol!

Then I got started on the rear.... it took me some time to do this... as it was the first time I had ever worked on a leaf sprung vehicle.... but we got it done!

IN the process of lifting the front, I noticed that my front upper balljoint was shot.... looks like I'm gonna have to replace those before I can get the alignment done.

Well, the tires didn't go on as planned.... turns out they are too wide and rub on the upper control arms. I've just ordered some Spidertrax Spacers and should have them in 2 weeks.

In the meantime... here's a size comparison of stock VS my new set.. :)

Well... spacers aren't in yet... so I decided to finish my stereo install, and set it up with a usb port hidden in the glove box. :)

I took some pics of the process.... it's pretty simple... just cut a hole in the back of the glove box, the same dimensions as the port. Then I wrapped the back part of the port with electrical tape, just to give me something to keep it from pulling through. Then I used Contact cement to lock it in place in the glove box.

Looks a little ghetto from the back... but looks decent in the glove box... and keeps the center console looking stealthy, without having all kinds of wires all over the place. :)

I also pre-wired the stereo with 2 video cables. I'm hoping to get 2 monitors for the headrests, so my kids can watch movies when we're on long trips... :)

My 2 kidlets decided to hang out with dad while I did the install.... :)
