I had to look at the first page to understand what you were talking about hahaha. I never had a plate bumper, I found the picture on a vendor page and just put it in my build thread for feedback. Sorry for the confusion.

I'm happy I went with the hidden winch setup, it's built strong and it was cheaper than a plate bumper. I like the look of my truck and wanted to keep the factory lines, but I also wanted a winch built in ever since I saw the Dodge Powerwagon. It cost less and it's less weight hanging on the front. I'm not happy with the cutout I did it looks butchered, so I have another lower bumper piece coming. I'm going to use a dremel to get a cleaner cutout that will trace the line of the new Viking hawse fairlead I have coming, which will or should be flush or protrude slightly past the bumper skin. It does require a lot of cutting, so you might want to wait till I'm done to decide if the hidden mount is the direction you want to go.

If you do decide on the hidden mount, I recommend a Warn winch with synthetic line and the Warn wireless remote winch controller. It makes life easier since I don't have to raise the hood to plug a winch controller into the solenoid. There isn't any accessible space to go through the grille.

Thanks for the compliments, if you have any questions feel free to ask.

hahahaha i should have looked closer at that bumper pic ;)

    Wireless winch remote! NICE!

Are you going back down in tire size or whats the meaning of your feeler sale on your tires? I've been thinking of running 285's with the next tire change but after seeing all your rubbing ive givin it some more thought... getting height for dd driving wont be a problem but its more the stuff rubbing im worried about. Would you say your Cab mount chop was nessesary?

No, I'm stay with 285's, I just want to go to a mud tire. I've worked out all my rub issues, I haven't rubbed while crawling and fully stuffing tires in the wheel wells. I've had real minor rubbing when I'm going fast and stuff a tire, but it's so minor I don't care. The cab mount chop was a must to run 285's.

I just trimmed the new lower bumper plastic I ordered. Came out great!!! I took my time and used a dremel with a small cutoff wheel, small hacksaw blade and a fine file to clean up. Looks almost like a factory install.

Also, wife got me a new 5" Garmin GPS for my birthday. Just waiting for the Ram mount cradle to arrive from FedEx. After going on vacation for 2 weeks on the Eastcoast (Alexandria Virginia, D.C. and Manhattan New York) I decided to not get an in dash Nav unit. I like being able to take my Nav unit with me to get around without getting lost.

Thanks guys. Now I need to get out and wheel. Its been too long since my last wheeling trip, going through withdrawls. Still waiting on my sliders, so as soon as I get them I want to hit up pilot rock.

So far no new rubbing issues.... yet. Lock to lock there's no rubbing. I crawled over some old telephone poles that are in a field by my work and l didnt notice any rubbing. I think the real test is going to be getting it out on the trail and flexing out the suspension to see if the tires make contact any where.

Took the truck for a quick run up Cleghorn this morning. The MT/Rs worked awesome, I love these tires! I have some minor rubbing when flexing, but nothing too crazy. shouldn't have any issues after I do some minor trimming.

Did a mock up to see what work I need to do to mount them up. A couple holes need to be drilled, a rivet needs to be cut out and the legs for the T-case skid need to be placed on top of the slider mounting plates.

Man these sliders are built insanely tough!!! I can't wait to get them finished and mounted up. Going to be nice to wheel without worrying if I'm going to suffer damage.
