If you don't draw blood, you're doing it wrong!
It has pros and cons. I like the sound and performance, and the washability is nice.

It doesn't filter as good as OEM, and I make it a routine to clean my whole intake/throttle body after a dusty wheeling trip.

I didn't get any better MPGs either.

Ben, how do you like your Bora's? Do you think they make rubbing worse or is the 1'' not enough to really change anything?

I still love 'em. The 1" puts my stock sport wheels @ 4.5" BS, which is a perfect stance for my 285s.

I can't really compare the rubbing since I added them at the same time as my tires, but I had to do some minimal trimming, and ended up doing the CMC just because.

Hmm...my TRD wheels have 4.5'' BS, but I would still like the tires out from the fenders out a little bit more. Planning on going 255's, so cab mount shouldn't rub anyway, but I'm not sure if I should put the spacers on.

It will probably make it look great with the tall 'n skinnys. You will probably have to trim some plastic though, esp if you plan on stuffing your tires.

Thanks for the help Ben. I will probably get the tires then see if I really want them out some more. I am pretty sure I will have to trim that little lip at the bottom of the fender flare, as some other dudes who have the 255's have had to trim there (but not cab mount)

    Touche salesman. ;)

    Thanks Pete!

No problem Matt, hopefully you don't have to trim too much.

Are you going w/ KM2s or STTs?

Not sure yet. The ST Maxx's are coming out in this size in the fall and I like how they look and heard they perform well, so I'm on the fence. They seem more like Duratracs than mud terrain's.

Yeah, you have limited options with 255's (as I'm sure you've noticed). I haven't heard too many good things about the Discoverer STTs, but haven't read up on the ST Maxxs.

Here are a couple other aggressive treads in 255/85/R16:

    Dean Mud Terrain SXT
    Toyo M/T
    Toyo M55
    Maxxis Bighorn
    Maxxis Bravo MA-761 (discontinued?)
    Maxxis Creepy Crawler

I thought Pete had the Firestone Destination M/Ts in 235/85r16?
