Here is a video of Dan's 1st gen taco up at the Rubicon trail when it was still IFS. I think this is the only picture I have of it before e sased it. As you can see it had one of thos ehuge arb bumpers on it the stock roof rack and a rear swingout tire carrier. All of that is gone now!

Dans truck is the first silver dbl cab on the video going through the gate keeper.

Stay tuned for more as we build what I think is the best solid axle swaped Taco out there.

Dans truck was being built while we had other trcuks being built so we didn't get all te pictures we wanted. We started at the front with a Dana 4 ot of a Jeep Wagoneer and Dan spent his time building it up. It hasan ARB air locker in it with 4.56 gears. The rear axle is the sock toyota unit with 4.56 gears.

Here you can see that we have done the frame plates and set up thelinks. we're just looking to make sure we have no binding going on. He used Jony joints at all the link ends. Works really well.

Again, we used the same thre link set as we did on my truck. Two links on the passenger side, a top and bottom link, and a lower link on the drivers side with a panhard bar.

Be back with more after dinner.

    OK! Back now.....

Got the steering box in and the coilover hoops.

Here is the engine crossover that connects to the coilover towers.

This is one of the lower link mounts.

Flexing to make sure nothing will bind.

    Got the panhard bar mounted.

We mounted the reseviors in the engine bay just like we did mine.

We then started to do the rear tube section. I really like the way his came out.

Then we started to work on the front bumper.

This was a picture that I took from our shops web cam. Gotta keep tabs on what the guys are doing when the boss is not around.

I really like the stance of this truck. It is really cool.

    I'll get more up tomorrow.

With Dans truck it was time to finish up the bed area. But first we had to finish the sliders and the front bumper.

Here we put the top hoop on and it was pretty much finished.

Here we are finishing up the sliders. They are hybrid rock crusher sliders.

I'll get to more of the update after my sons basketball game.

OK! I'm back. Son won and the wife is happy. It's gonna be a good night:D.

Now it's off to finish the tube bed.

Thats Dan under the truck. He spent alot of time on this truck. Thats the BEAST in the back ground.:D
    [IMG]

Dans tube bed is quite a bit different from mine. He didn't have as much space as I did because he shortened the frame some so we had to go up on it to get everything to fit. Still have the trade mark "DO" plate in the rear.

Thats Dan getting ready to weld on the tabs for his spare tire mount.

Got the spare tire mounted and found a home for the turn signals.

    Got the turn signals mounted.

It was now tme to see how this thing flexes. We were shocked that this truck flexed as well as mine did. This is going to be fun to wheel in.

Then we wanted to see how it flexed from the rear.

    WOW!!!!

It stuffs those 36" Iroks rather nicely.

Dan then needed more fluid for his power steering so he extended the tank on his stock power steering pump. Works like a charm.

We ten painted everything and took the truck to my house to finish off a couple of things. One was putting on the PSC hydro-assist ram.
Thats why we had to extend the tank on his power steering pump.

These are the passenger side top link and lower link.

Got the rear Bilstein 7100 shocks in place.

    Got the winch mounted also.

The Dana 44 looks happy under Dans Taco.

This thing has so much flex that we had to add limting straps on the front and the rear just like we did on my truck.

Here we had to add a gusset for the inner feder where the battery is mounted so the battery wouldn't go through it.

This is what we did in the rear so Dan could have some storage space. I think it came out really nice.

In this picture you cansee how we mounted the top of the rear shocks.

The last thing we did was to mount hs ARB air compressor for his front Air locker.

We wanted it to look nice so we used some of those wire loom mounts. Makes for a good clean mod.

So there you have it. In my opinion, one of the best, most effective Tacoma SAS on the planet.
