sneaky little trick i learned about 6 years ago, just paint the base color what ever you want as the background color and then pick up a mesh bag (mine is a white issued laundry bag from bootcamp) and lay it over the top of the object. spray the bag with the color you want on top, let it dry, remove said mesh bag and voila! you can use tan, grey and brown to give you a more authentic snakeskin look. I also used this technique to paint my daughters nalgene bottle using pink and purple. i suggest flat colors or even buy the camo spray paint at lowes or home depot. thanks for the comments fellas

Thanks for the painting technique. I'll have to try it out. I just need to find my mesh laundry bags from basic training...

So, not much has changed on the truck since the last time I posted on here except. Instead of washing the truck at the house like I usually do I was being impatient and rushed for time so I took the truck through a car wash.... bad idea. High power pressure wash + swirling rags = ripped soft top  So, I recently purchased a set of bed bars from Relentless Fabrication and mated a Rage Powersports rack to it... I know its not as sturdy or as big as the other good racks, but I couldn't pass on a sweet deal for it. I'm happy so far and pumped to start putting some camping gear in it and head to the mountains... sorry for the crappy cell pics.

The truck is starting to come along nicely. Bed rack is on and now dipped the stock wheels till I order some new ones hopefully around september time frame.
