what i would do is see if you can find anyone selling there old set of harnesses. theyre only good for 2 years (for racing) so people have to get new ones somewhat often. ask yager if he has his old ones still. i remember he had beard seats and harnesses he was trying to sell me when i brought my truck up in January.

As of now, no. You wouldn't be able to receive/send the signal very well on the CB frequency. I went with separate radios for CB and VHF and the VHF is a dual band so two frequencies can be received at one time. At any one time, I have 3 channels coming in so it can be a bit confusing.

    My setup

I would say yes. VHF is slowly becoming common place on trail runs but there are alot of people still running CB. On my last trail run, Cleghorn, about 4 of the trucks had VHF capabilities, 1 had a race radio, and the other 10 or so had CB's.

The guy with the race radio could only talk a specific frequencies. He could not enter in a custom frequency. So there was actually 3 frequencies being used on the trail. I relayed information to the guy with the race radio and the other VHF guys could talk to each other. Then there was chatter on the CB.

At a minimum there should be a VHF in the front and rear because the range and clarity of VHF is better.

That's what I figured, race radios aren't super popular so sometimes having a race radio would get you left out of the communication loop if the 10 guys with you have CBs haha

Just get yourself a HAM license (not hard to get) and you can operate on the race channels and other VHF frequencies.
