Hey! So I picked up Steves ORIs and they seem to be holding up fine now. I'm trying to get a list of things needed for them.

Would a 5lb tank be big enough for them? It didn't look like we used much when setting everything up and I want to save bed space where I can. Also, what fittings do you use on your tank?

FYI Brady, Gage only needed 600 psi to get the same lift he had with the old coilovers!

Nitrogen is rated by volume not weight and I don't think a 5lb equivalent would get you more than a few fills from empty... Do you know what pressure they put in them to get you to the ride height you wanted?

I bought a 125 cu ft bottle. I was talking with the guy at Air Gas and he was stunned that I was going to be using 800-900 psi and was worried that I would kill off a bottle very quickly. They fill the bottles to 2000 psi. Once I drop below 800 psi I can't fill my shocks anymore... So I use about half the bottle and I can't use the other half... I filled my shocks up around 20 times each maybe less and I've used about a 1/4 of the bottle.

Since the volume of the shocks is so small though I think I could have got away with a smaller bottle. I wish I had got an 80 cu ft because it would fit in the bed better. I usually throw my 125 cu ft in the back seat and leave it at camp, but I'm not real worried about my shocks leaking out on me.

You could pick up a 5lb and it would be a nice trail tank though for emergencies.

Wow that's so crazy. How much pressure was in the lowers? And when you filled the lowers were they installed? The more pressure you put in the lower the more you have to put in the upper.

At 700 psi my rig doesn't even move upwards with 120 in the lower installed. I think I run about 2" of lift and have to use 850-900 psi.

I got this one. It says it only goes to 800 psi but mine will go to 900. Sometimes it will run out of adjustment around 600-700 psi so if I back it off a couple turns; turn the bottle off and then drain the regulator it will go up to 900 again. I think it does that if you turn it down too far since it doesn't stop spinning in the off direction.

    http://www.amazon.com/Turbotorch-03...1&keywords=TurboTorch+0386-0857+DP250-800-580

JW had an old nitrogen regulator lying around and he tore it apart and used adapters to just hook the fill kit straight to the bottle. I tried to get Air Gas to just sell me the adapter but they wouldn't do it for safety reasons...

Nope. The third was supposed to get to ECGS tomorrow but UPS says it has been delayed due to bad weather.
