Yeah for wheeling I still like my maxxis big horn MT's over the duratrac. But the duratrac is a better on road tire and it's not loud. The maxxis were so loud you could not think. :) I like to try new tires though hope those work out for you.

Hope to have the gear kits in the next week or two. Still have to cut fenders too. Been researching some different trim and wheel well liner.

Still love my Duratracs for sure. Just wanted to get bavk to an MT since I do not have a daily commute. :-D

Oh I'm running them right now too and I like them. But I drive more on pavement now so they are much better. I hear ya with the commute the MT's get loud if you have to drive around a lot every day.

Let me know what you use for wheel well liner, I need to make something for the fronts pretty soon.
Oh yeah and how did you wire in the running lights on your arb?

Still looking on the wheel well liner. So I will post up when I find.

I wired the amber bulbs to my turn signals( recently converted to LED) and the constant bulb to the parking lights(also converted to LED).

Just spliced into the lines going into the headlight housings? How did you know which was which? And you converted which ones to led? The bumper bulbs or the ones in the headlights?

Yeah just searched from the bulb back at the headlight housing and spliced them in. All of my bulbs (headlights and bumper) are LED now. If you go back a page or two you will see the turn signal conversions. Those were the last ones that needed to be changed.

Might if it was black. Does it have adhesive in it or does it have "catch" fins in the channel to hold it in place. Is the total width about 1/2"?

That gray might look cool on a Silver truck though.

Took out the XRC8 today to re-grease it. Upon removal I noticed that a slight incident where my dog turned on my winch on and wrapped it up a bit bent the fair lead fairly well. So much that the roller would not turn. Rather then try to square it up I just decided to replace it.

So from there I went about tearing down the gear box and re-greasing. Simittybilt suggested I use Mobil 28 Aviation Grease. So that is what I got.

    It was time:

Picked up a Spidertrax offset Hawse Fairlead and got it installed. Now I just have to keep an eye on angle pulls so the line does not make contact with the bumper and fray it.

An now my front license plate holder will no longer work because it was designed to hold onto the rollers. I tried another design that slips into the hawse lead but it did not work either due to the amount the hawse is recessed in the bumper.

So both will be up for sale soon.

So I just decided to hard mount the license plate an redrill the holes on the plate to match the silly Aussies and their small plates. I didn't like the plate sticking up above the top of the bumper so I "modified" it "Dylan" style. :D

Up next.... gears going in the axles!!! :yay:

Does that license plate holder go into a hitch?

Edit never mind it was in your front fairlead.

How do you attach your rear license plate to your rear bumper?

No. Either onto a roller fairlead or a hawse fairlead.

The rear is hitch mounted plate holder. I need to flatten mine out tomorrow do I will take a pic.
