Hey Guys, been wayyy to long since I've updated my build. Been MIA over the past month or so due to a few personal things going on but still managed to get a few things done to the truck.

So after flexing my rig out it quickly became apparent I need to clearance a bunch more...

Turns out I got a little crazy with a 4lb hammer... Started developing a puddle underneath my floor mats every time it rained. So I peeled back the carpet and low and behold, guess I beat the pinch weld a little too hard. Split it in 3 different spots on the DS and 1 spot on the PS.

    A little hard to see....

So I peeled the carpet back and took a really good silicone to the holes to seal everything up inside and outside of the cab. So far so good! If it does leak again, I may have to reweld the pinch weld again, but I don't think it'll be a problem...

Trucks looking good Mike! How are you liking the MTRs? I sent you a pic of the flare clip placement. Not sure if you got it. Are you planning on reinstalling your flares?

Thanks Corey, really missed this place. I see you got that new bumper on! Looks freakin badass dude!

I believe those two screws are for the dead pedal foot rest if im not mistaken...

Did you end up getting 35's on that sweet rig of yours yet?

Hey Ben! Actually just sent you an email about an hour ago! lol Lovin the MTR's dude. They worked really well offroad and couldn't be happier. Surprisingly quiet on the hwy too.

I got the pics for the flare clip replacement (big thanks!) and finally got around to cutting my flares up a couple days ago.. Man i'm such a ramrod tho, at the time I ripped the flares off without thinking and broke a pile of the plastic mounts for the clips right off. Thankfully JB Weld got the mounts secure again.

Just priced out the clips at the local dealer and . To replace every clip is going to cost $96 plus tax! There has got to be a cheaper way.

See if this link works for you. If it doesn't: Just search "Toyota Tacoma Fender Flare Clips" on Google and a bunch of links will pop up for eGay, etc. You can even just click the "Shop for...on Google" from my link to make it easy. You're needing the red and blue ones, correct?

lol yup, 4lb hammers will do that. You should have seen me wailing away on the firewall with wreckless abandonment. Funny I didn't see the split on the outside tho, had to way till it rained a few times then got water all over the floor of the cab.

I really think butterflying the pinch weld like that probably wasn't the best way to go about it. I wonder if folding the pinch weld over in one direction only would have saved me from getting some holes, or maybe even cut some of the excess pinch weld off....

Awesome! Thanks for the link Matt. I'll have to browse it tomorrow and see what I can find. Dealer told me the blue clips were $1.60 each and the orange clips were $4.60 each. I figured there has got to be a better alternative...

Clips on my flares broke too. Used epoxy to weld them back. As for the orange and bkue clips, $65 from the stealership. Some how I was able to not break a few. Your truck is looking sick! After seeing your setup with MTRs, I may end up going that route now

BTW, I should add, to help keep the tires from rubbing anymore, I also put a couple of washers underneath my bump stops on the front end. Only used two per side. I really don't want to limit my uptravel but I didn't want to risk rubbing badly on the trail.

Damn, $65! My dealer is ripping me off! lol I broke wayyy to many to count so I figured i'd replace them all with new. KM2's or MTR's, you can't go wrong with either one. :)

When the time comes for me to persuade my firewall into making more room for 35's I will be sealing the inside of the wheel well with something. I was thinking a silicone some spots and then just rolling on a bed liner.

Found a set of 100 (Blue) for $20 and 100 (Red) for $20. Even if you don't need that many, it's probably worth it in case you ever need more.

Awesome find guys! Thanks for the help. Had to check each seller because not everyone will ship to Canada.

Got 75 clips for about $17 with free shipping, local dealers can't beat that.
