Thanks man! I like your sig pic. How are you liking your Magnaflow cat back exhaust? I keep considering it but i don't want the truck to sound to ricey... know what i mean?

Well looking forward to your build thread when it comes around then. Where i usually wheel a snorkel is a very sound investment since we have lots of water crossings and what not. But in the winter it's a PITA to have. Always worrying about snow blowing in, constantly turning the head around to prevent that and it really does get a lot of attention from people on the road. I plan on ordering a Donaldson prefilter soon so that should take care of some of my hassle. All in all, if you plan on wheelin' i'd recommend it.

Yeah understand that. Ill be looking at a prefilter before next winter comes around as well. I figured for $350 the snorkel was better to have and not need than to need and not have. I plan on wheeling the truck quite a bit when I get out of school so I figured I'd prepare it for anything.

This was exactly my thinking as well... Super cheap insurance. I watched my buddy sub his rig and seeing the hassle he had to go thru getting it started again was definitely a PITA. I'd rather not have that issue, ever.

Exactly, I figure a $350 payment now will eventually pay for itself whenever I have to do water crossing or anything. Luckily we havent really been getting much snow here in PA but the prefilter will be a nice addition just for that added protection.

When are you getting the 35s? :D

I do for sure. I love it personally. It's a very clean sounding exhaust, no raspy lawnmower noise out of it. However I find there is quite a drone at the 2500-3500 rpm range, which might be what your trying to avoid..?

I'm really hoping snag some decent used ones this spring since i just bought brand new Duratracs a couple months ago. Once the winter weather is done, i'm planning on removing the flares and cutting the fenders in preparation, i may have to chop a bit more of the cab as well. :D I'm actually looking forward to cutting my truck more, i think i'm sick. lol

Yea, thats exactly what i was trying to avoid. Since i've regeared and still running 33's my rpms stay pretty high on the highway doing 110 km/hr. I think its right around 2800 rpms. That drone might get a little irritating with a longer drive i'm assuming?

I didnt look it up but that part right there made a pretty picture in my head. Lol, yeah i figure i am doing pretty damn good right now, im fixing to sell my hellas and my bull bar and opt for a LED bar inside my grill and color-matching that. It'll look much cleaner and i'll have even more light than before

Haha good luck with your search! And I understand that. I used to never add anything to my vehicle unless it was bolt on but shit when you go and buy a snorkel you've pretty much made the decision that you are fine with hacking and cutting your truck up haha

That will definitely clean up the front end a lot, i think it'll look really sharp. I colour matched my grill and it definitely tied everything in much better imo. Which LED light bars are you considering? I'd love to get my hands on a 20" light bar at some point...

lol Although its not to late for you yet! You may pause right before the point of no return when you get that big ol' hole saw blade up to the fender. I know i did. lol

But only a second tho, iirc i started smiling while doing it. :D

To be honest, im not really sure which brand im going with it WONT be Rigid, toooo much money for my taste and application purposes.

    Blitzpro
    Okledlightbar

Are on the shortlist at the moment, they are used by quite a bit of the members and the output looks damn good.

I'm in the same boat as you, i just don't feeling like dropping that kind of coin right now on the Rigid. From reviews i've seen from the couple you mentioned i thought the output looked great as well. I'm usually in wooded trails so either of them would probably work great for me. I'll probably just wait for a GB to come around in a month or so... but I'd really like to take care of the aux fuse box before hand.

    Look at all that money....

I want to get a bar long enough to fill the whole bottom of my satoshi for under 250$ if it's truly possible. >_>
