Ran into this guy on my first trip to Richland Road, and thought he was a bit nuts....

    RichlandRd2-20-12020_e3f82ee504dd9f30d37557eea22443c69604ae69.jpg

Then proceeded to do this (strike 1 for the Duratracs)

Then a month after replacing that one (thanks Discount Tire! :)) Strike 2...

So I got these - and HATED them!! Loud, and uncomfortable ride.

Tried the pizza cutter 255 KM2's. Worked great, but on the 8" rim, they always looked like they were about to pop the bead on off camber situations

Put my first dent in it leaning it against a tree at the top of Kodak Rock at Uwharrie NF.

Switched to some 285/75R16 Falken Rocky Mountains. Fantastic tire! Very quiet and smooth, and great in all but the muddiest conditions

Cut the body mount and flattened the pinch weld. Still need to finish boxing the body mount

    Thanks!

I'm waiting for the scratch guards still for the ZX wheels. Should add some nice protection in the rocks. The real nice thing about these wheels though, is that they hide the valve stem behind the lip of the wheel, which should also help in the rocks.

Actual loaded measured height of the MTR is 34.4". That's right at 2.5" taller than the 285 Falkens.

No wheel spacers. 16x8.5 wheel with 4.5" backspace. No rubbing so far on the street, but I can see an area by the bottom corner of the pinch weld that I'll have an opportunity for improvement with.... :D

I've gotta take a little bit more out of the bottom rear corner of the cab mount. A little too close for comfort. Also rubbing the frame and UCA'S when at full lock. Not that big a deal but I might try some 1/4" spacers I've had sitting around for a year.....

I would almost rather limit the turning radius if that was possible. It only hits at the very extreme end of the lock.

I've gotta get it to The Gulches to really find out where else it will rub..
