It seems to be handling it just fine. I don't even see much torsion twist of any kind.

I will take some pictures of all of the small mods once I mount the TREDS.

Cool man. I installed struts on the last car I had (xB) and the hoods were so janky, people had bending issues trying to close the hood too quickly. That's sweet if you only need one and it doesn't cause a problem. I really like your style! Driving down your own road with lots of your mods, mind is definitely not in a box.

    Thanks man!

I hate being in a box. I don't like being just like the person (or car) next to me either. I like to have as much information as possible. People say "just buy the redline kit" and I reply "what does it have that I couldn't build myself?" I like to research and experiment vs just buy what people tell me to buy. Plus, now I can tell everyone else the results and they could do their own kit much easier.

My mindset hindered me a bit in school until I learned how to think outside the box but still have inside the box results.

So, I had a small break from homework today.

I finally received the replacement lights from Lifetime LED so I swapped those out.

I picked up the aluminum strip that I will be using to make a locking mount for the TREDs.

I took the truck out to a local trail. I bashed the trailer hitch on a cement rain gutter and found that I was unable to lock my rear e-locker (separate instances).

And I took pictures of the mods that I did a while ago (hood struts and hidden antenna):

You ready to try the UniChip out yet? Jk.
How are you liking the hidden antenna so far. Eventually I want to put an isolated stereo in my bed and have been looking at different antennas.

Lol still waiting on the rear bumper first.

The antenna is pretty good. It is 100x better then it was without a having antenna at all. I can tell that there is some static but for $12 I can't really complain too much.

Well I already have a 32" led bar, a winch, seat warmers, CB, dual compressors, and LEDs in the bed/canopy. I plan on adding 6x 7" led floods for the perimeter of the truck soon and rock lights down the road. I also plan on having a power center for the RTT (LEDs strip light, phone chargers, electric blanket, etc).

Each additional add-on increases the draw from the battery. Dual batteries will handle the load better and last longer. With a setup like what is pictured above, I could also cut the power to the canopy/RTT when I don't need it while still applying the power to the necessary items.

I picked up a carbon fiber hood off craigslist for $40. I am contemplating using it as an air damper for my rack system. I want something to push the air over the basket, pelican case, spare tire and front of the RTT.

    What do you guys think?

Thanks! I quoted a previous post cause I didn't want to write it all again lol If I were to do it again I would probably consider 4.56s.

    Thanks Joe!

I picked this little trailer up to start a adventure trailer project. Maybe I can get my RTT off my roof soon.

The first thing I am going to be doing is flipping the axle. The axel is only a 5 lug so I'll have to figure that one out but I think it's promising.

I am thinking I will make it look something like the M416 military trailer. Just wide enough to park my ATV in under a RTT rack and a second, lower, rack for just the RTT:

FJ80 rims... Rattle can or Powdercoat; what do you guys think?

I just finished sandblasting one of my rims and I am not sure if I want to rattle can or get them powdercoated. Obviously rattle can is cheaper but will it hold up?

So I really haven't done anything to the truck lately. I have been playing with my motorcycle since it is nice out.

I did however get a flat tire at 1 am without my spare handy, then while I left it at the tire shop over night the windshield found a beautiful new spider web crack reaching from top to bottom and all the way across the top.

Ordered some rock lights and area lights from Amazon and got my 79" CVT awning mounted.
