I have been lurking on the forum since February mostly looking for parts for my truck. Thought I would go ahead and start a build thread to document the changes that I have made so far.

In February, I picked up a 2011 TRD Off Road DCSB with 11,000 miles. I had a supercharged 1998 TRD Off Road Extended Cab for several years. I sold it back to Toyota due to the undercoating issue in 2008. I have changed cars repeatedly since 2008 (Lexus IS350, Mercedes R320, Honda Pilot), but missed having a truck.

Haven't done much to it yet.

I love the off road, but wish that they came with the color matched rear view mirror covers and door handles. I think the truck looks much more polished this way. I didn't want to spend the money to buy replacement OEM mirors, so I found these covers on ebay:

Sanded to help with primer adhesion

I didn't take photos of the whole process, but I sanded after every other coat. Three coats of primer, 4 coats of duplicolor IE7 rattle-can, and 4 coats of duplicolor clear coat.

    Final product:

The color match isn't perfect (for a kid raised in body shops), but for a total cost of less than $50, I am very pleased.
