Hey Patrick, I just found some off a 2005 or so 1500, will that work? Is there a spring rate difference between the different years?
Taco spring vs Chevy spring: how much lift roughly do you get not includimg the difference in shackle? By my calculation I get about 1.25-1.5 from the shackle reversal, how much more from the springs? I noticed that the location of the front spring hangers is lower on the frame the more forward you go with the new hanger and it will give me a little lift also! Im trying to stay as low as posible since the front has 3" of lift. Im hopping not to get more that 3-4" but im thinking it will be more

Took the shell off last night. I'll try and keep it this way until after my brewer lake wheeling trip.

Hey Pat, how much did you end up extending your bumpstops to avoid bottoming out the shocks? Still a comfortable amount of up travel compared to stock? Would love to see your solution!

I ordered trail gear bump stop extensions and they are perfect. There is about 1/4" left of shock exposed. It has about 4.5" of up travel and a ton of droop. That's where all the travel comes from. I am going on a bald mountain and brewer lake trip late July. It will be the first time to really use the setup. I'm pumped.

I think I ended up with about the same shackle angle as you... I got a ton of lift it seems like though. I would guess I got at least 4.5" of lift from the swap, may try and move my shackle hangers forward in the future.

You're totally right though, the ride is so much nicer with this setup. Smooth! Thanks again for all your information!

That's pretty much what I got as well. I carry a ton of tools so it puts me in the right spot. So sick you got it all done! Cheby swap for the win! Pics please

Yeah I like it topless. I have the shell back on right now but will take it off for bald mountain and brewer lake on7/24-27. You free? Cruise with! It should be a great time. A lot closer than Moab.

Click the link in my sig and go to the very bottom... I don't have many pics yet. Going to Rausch creek this weekend, hope to get a bunch of pics of it flexed out.

I'm not going to adjust it until I get a rear bumper with swingout, I think that may be racy enough to get me sitting right. What'd you do about your driveshaft? I'm going to alter a 3rd gen 4runner driveshaft and shim my diff accordingly in the near future.

When my bed is empty if I punch it from a stand still it will start knocking at the u-joint pretty bad. Weighted down with my tools it is fine. I'm going to get a one piece shaft made up but will most likely wait till I get a crawl box since I would have to shorten it if I did it first. Just sounds like more money though...... Tacos are expensive lol.

    I hear you brother!

I have a 1 piece shaft right now being a regular cab and it's ujoints are ANGRY! I'll suggest going CV joint with the 1 piece driveshaft, I'll be sure to keep you posted how I make out. I just picked up 3 u joints yesterday to replace mine as they die... Once I get off the gas it sounds like you fired up the garbage disposal with a spoon in it :anonymous:
