Nah they just never deliver when I'm there(I can deal with this as long as there's other options).

So they tried to deliver and I wasnt there (no shit, I have a job). So I called and asked what I can do. Because I work tomorrow too. And Friday. But wait! There's ups store in town! They can drop is there and I can pick it up tonight! No they can't, to schedule a pickup it will be the next day. Oh and UPS doesn't drop off to UPS stores. That's woman logic there. Ok so can I come pickup tonight from the ups warehouse 45 minutes away? No sorry, our drivers are done at 7 and the warehouse closes at 7. So your shipment won't be available. Ok so when the hell can I pick it up? Well they can hold it at the warehouse. For tomorrow, so I can drive 2 hours after a long day of work just to pickup what should be delivered to me.

Oh yeah...the customs fees are $240. So that $280 in shipping I already paid, was just to get it into my area code basically. To get it I to my hands I need another $240.

Grrr year. It's. 810k round trip. Not really worth it unless I'm piling up a lot of shit.

So...I am trying to get UPS to deliver it to my work tonorrow. Apparently to businesses they deliver between 9-5 which is perfect. Hopefully that works out. I know you guys are getting anxious. Suppose I'm a little excited as well.

This will be the first addition to my pile of parts that will accumulate over the next little while before I had enough to have an install party.

This delivery has special instructions that say signature required. And I gotta pay the fees. I've never been able to get ups to leave a package. Usually it's expensive though. But they always need a sig. This package is a little pricey though so I'm glad they're not just leaving it at my door I guess.

Jamie.... you can broker your own packages.... when you got stuff coming in thats north of 1000, tell the place your buying the parts from that you wish to self broker

now all you will have to do is, a quick visit to the calgary airport visit the canadian customs, show them the notice of shipment, hand them a receipt for the parts, at which point they will charge you 5%, unless its overseas products, lightbars will be around 13%

I do this ALOT and no special trip to the border required ;)

Usps whenever possible. Usually postal outlets have pretty decent hours and usually costs less in the long run.
