Yeah, I find that I am really picky with the look of my truck and I find that when it comes to what I like as far as looks go, my preferences are always changing. So when I don't need the rack it is nice to be able to take it off pretty quick and get a change of scenery.

Finally got my own PrInSu Racks installed just before I got to the airport today to go out of town for the week. A better photo shoot is in order when I get home but I am loving look and looking forward to the utility of the full rack setup.

Got my traction ramps mounted on the roof rack. I love the t-slot channel. Makes mounting items super easy.

Went on a little drive near my parents house today on some of the foothill trails. Nothing super crazy but you can get some cool views of the valley and the Great Salt Lake. Took some pictures of the truck now that the roof racks have been painted.

Life has been a little crazy lately but we had to go south to sign lease papers for our new apartment and I decided we needed to get out for a quick trip. Thanks to directions from BoxRocket we made a quick one night trip out to the Whiterocks area in Skull Valley. I really enjoyed it. There were quite a few people out there which I was surprised with but our little boy loved it and it was great to relieve some stress even though it was short. Here are some pics from the trip.

your truck looks awesome man! I have 265/75r16 right now and have been debating on the 285 or 255s.... does your truck still have that pep like it did with the 265s?

No, you're going to loose some power. Not bad but definitely noticeable.

^^^^ This, I am pretty light on the skinny pedal anyway but if I wanted to race around and accelerate all the time it would drive me nuts. There a quite a few canyons with some decent grades out here that we drive on a normal basis and you definitely feel the loss in power on those hills. On the flat it is less noticeable.

A few pictures from a quick overnighter we did over the holiday weekend. Ended up pulling out a big tundra and a little ranger that tried to get through a snow banks. No pics unfortunately but the TJM Stealth winch worked awesome.

Sure was. Really short, but lots of fun. Found out I drew out for a limited entry elk tag this week too so the new plan for summer is to spend the weekends with the truck driving around the new area and deciding where to focus during the hunt come september. I am way glad I have the truck setup this way now.

So I have began to realize that this truck has to many roles to be a dedicated overlanding vehicle. The main area of concern is the bed of the truck. The drawers I built were great but I was constantly removing them and putting them back in to carry other stuff. The national luna power pack is also great, but besides having it in the drawers it was kind of bulky and I never really had a good place to stash it it the bed, so I started remodeling. The power pack has 2 parts, the plastic case and the steel enclosed electronic compartment. They are bolted together so I took them apart. The plastic case doesn't fit behind the rear seats of the double cab but with a little trimming of the back panels, my aux battery does. Here are some pictures of the process so far.

Where I routed the battery cables

The part of the plastic rear storage panel I trimmed off. Added some plastic door trim around the edges to clean it up.
