One of my problems could have been play in upper ball joints on the Light Racing UCA's. However I think the main culprit is my laziness in rotating them . I went a little long this last time and this is my first set of real mud tires. Looking back at it the uneven wear isn't that bad. But it is there. My advice would be to rotate them as often as possible. I was doing every 4-5k miles with the oil and went to about 7k this time. DONT do that. Rotate them every 2-3k and they will be fine. The tire that was wearing weird is in the back and is now starting to even out even though it has only been about 500 miles since rotation.

~22,000 miles, they are at about 65% on the ones I left up front to long and more like 75-80% on the rears. I expect to get about 50,000 miles from them before I replace them. And even then they will have 30-40% and will go on my trailer.

I like that new deflector. Should make one for the stock racks to mount the light bar. Think that would look cool for the ones that don't want the whole rack

Man your build is awesome subd for future mods you do keep up the awesomeness. Also since installing your front bumper and winch did you go back to 886's or still running 885's?

Back to 886's. The 885's were nice riding but started to sag. I have skids planned and sliders so the 886's were needed.

Nope, last winter they were brand new and I didnt have any problems. Was actually quite surprised. This winter will be the real test now that they have worn down some.

Sub'd. Love the tall and skinny's man! Defenitely the route I am going also. How do you like the OME setup? I keep flip flopping between Icon vs. OME. OME would mean I could go ahead and purchase but for the Icon (which will end up being double the cost) I would have to wait a while.

Again, love the truck! Like seeing the stock steelie's on there :) I actually think they look awesome for an overland/expedition rig.

I love the OME Dakar leafs and shocks in the rear. They seem to be paired well with the weight that I typically carry (Shell, rack, tools) on a daily basis and then do well with the RTT and camping gear on trips. The front OME setup I can't decide about. I had the 885 coils and they were ok, then I added the plate bumper and they were great. They rode very nicely but eventually started to sag which bothered me. Then I put the 886 coils on and got the height back. With those coils the compression is good but the dampening ability of the shocks with those heavy coils seems unmatched. I feel that they bounce back way to quick. If I added sliders and skid plates then I am sure it would be perfect but I have definitely debated getting some icons or kings for the front so I can adjust them. Just not sure how big of a difference there will be.

Gotcha. Thanks so much for the input and the quick reply. Defenitely helps with my decision. I'm not quite as handy mechanically and switching out multiple coils is something I'd like to avoid.

Love the roof rack. Saw your install pics on your threat. One question, did you have to drill into your roof for the rack or did it mount in existing mounting holes?

The rack mounts using existing holes. And yes avoid switching out coils. I did it once by myself and took them to a shop the other times but no matter what it is a pain.

If I could do it all again I would get keep the dakars and the OME in the rear and get Icons and icon uniball UCA's up front. (Probably what I will do eventually anyway)
