Craig...question for ya as you have been in contact with a lot of other Taco guys. So, I mentioned that I am running a 3" Fabtech spacer lift. The ride is a little bumpy on uneven roads (You know...da kine like we have in Oahu...lol)! Definitely not the OEM ride which I expected anyways.

Would going with a new shock/coil setup (Billy 5100/Icons) provide a smoother ride with a lift over the spacers?

    Anyone can chime in here...:)

Fantastic looking truck. It's like a personification of why I want to get back into a truck.

Would you be willing to part with the stock wheels and tires?

Brother...I would be willing to part with the wheels/tires, but since I live in Hawaii, it would cost a small fortune to ship to you I think. You'd prob be better off looking in a more localized area where you live...:)

Yes... Spacers will make your truck ride rough. When I decide to put a lift on mine I'll go with 5100's and a AAL in the rear. Since I don't do any hard core off roading anything else would just be wasted on mine. Spacers and blocks for the rear are usually not the ideal way to lift our trucks.

Just noticed your post. Were you talking to me or Rick. Our trucks are similar but you might have got them mixed up. If you were talking to me then no... I'm keeping the factory wheels and tires. They'll be brand new when I sell / trade the truck.

Is there a lift on your truck? The stance looks good

I've thought about lifting mine, but I gotta keep it stock and keep it as a family vehicle first

No lift. Just stock OR. I may put 5100's to level out the front one day but no time soon. It rides and drives perfect right now.

Yeah it's weird... As much as I love spending money it's kind of hard to replace a brand new set of shocks that ride great right now. But when the time comes 5100's will be my replacements (assuming there isn't something better at the time). I just don't do enough hard core off roading to justify a lift. It would just be for looks if I did.

    Thanks

I think I'm going the other way with that. Not the lower valance but when the new Tacoma Pro comes out I'm going to color match that grill. I'm thinking of painting my back bumper white and maybe my mirrors. I'll have a sport without the fake scoop and I'll have ATRAC ;)
