The wind is exceptionally bad around Laramie and Cheyenne. Really, anywhere near the I80. Ill get frustrated some days when I am non stop getting blasted with 50mph winds through town but nothing you can do about it. Come summer it dies down quite a bit too. If you can get into the mountains you will generally find wind block. If you go up toward Sheridan it seems to be less extreme in town. My parents place gets blasted by wind all the time though. Once you get into the Big Horns it almost always dies down too.

I do get increasingly frustrated when camping in wind. One day I will have everything properly secured but until then I am going to be chasing paper plates and wrestling with tents .

I think we just get used to it and cherish the days that have little to no wind.

Finally have the last piece needed for Ash's new collar. I didn't realize it would take so long to get here! Can't wait to get it on him. The wider collar should be a bit more comfortable when he's pulling on the leash.

I can tonight :D. Pricey buggers with shipping. You can also search for Austrialpin Cobra D-ring and you should be able to find it.

Ash's new collar for turning 1. Didn't take as long as I thought. I Did it while studying some birds.

The other collar is the first one I made him when he was around 3 or 4 months. It was made loose enough to slip off his head so he could grow into it.

How much did you take off? Also, what about the inner part?

I have somewhere around 1.5-1.75 took out of the fender. Ill be taking more out when I put the flares back on so it doesn't have the double edge look.

What exactly are you asking about the inner part? Or, what are you referring to as the inner part?

The part that has those small silver 90 degree brackets attached to it. Looks like the tire would hit that long before it hits the fender. Could be the angle of the pics though.

I haven't touched that yet. Not sure if other guys have either. The fender gets trimmed mostly for the bottom portion. When you turn at full stuff you will catch it and tear off the flares or bend the sheet metal. Up top, towards the front, there is a support bracket that has toyota imprinted on it. I had to trim that and then the tire rubs at full stuff on that inner part you were talking about. I took a 3lb sledge to it but gave up. If I was jumping the truck and slamming the tires up there I might care more but it doesn't rub much and I rarely stuff it that much.

The isn't the best pic but you can see the tire doesn't stuff all the way up but the rear of the fender would be smashed if I didn't cut.

I see. Seems like a lot of work to fit 35's. Something I might do in the future.

It's a bit of work. If you set aside a day and get someone to lend you a hand you could easily do it in a day. I am just lazy and do things in parts.

Haha yeah, no tubbing at least :). Still a big jump for most people haha. I occasionally have someone ask how I got them to fit. Once they realize I cut the fenders their eyes get BIG. It's not for everyone but I love it.

Thanks dude, I know it's not much of a build thread but the truck is certainly coming along! Ill get some older pictures uploaded soon enough :p.

This month is gonna be rough for the wallet. I am sending my payment for the ORI's in a few days. Big thanks to Steve (woodnick) for them. I don't know a lot of people that will let someone install their shocks and drive off without paying . I was waiting until I finally got a nitrogen bottle to mess with them but they have held up more than fine. In fact, since adding the front bumper I have lost the "bouncy" feel. I will be getting nitrogen then weekend hopefully. Just depends on my work load. Then I can finally play around with them. Hopefully I can find some time in the next month or so to meet up with Marc and buy/install his old uppers.

Next up will be the rear. I have been reading up on options a bit and I am just not sure what route I want to go. I think the first thing I should decide is if I want to match the front with some ORI's in the rear.

You can't do ORIs out back. They are basically a coilover.

Unless you are going to link it...in which case..lets do it haha

Speaking of ORIs... I missed why Steve was having problems with them after new years. What did you guys figure out?

Which is why I have to decide what I want! Not that I knew any of that anyways.
