CB Install

Went with the Bearcat 980SSB, Wilson 5000 Magnetic Mount Antenna and 50 Watt Amp. Not super crazy about the location I put the CB in, but I think it was the best option, mounted the AMP under the passenger seat, Its is in a little inconvenient of a spot, but am able to reach the switches to enough ease, and not like I am typically talking on the CB all day.

Leer Camper Shell

After a couple of months searching craigslist, finally found a Camper shell for my year in good shape and color for $700.

Installed CB Antenna, Wilson 5000

Got the Mag Mount CB antenna put on and routed the coax cable.

I love how easy Toyota has made it to route cables, Used the Rubber Plug directly under the Center Console to run the Coax into the CAB did not have to drill at all.

Ran power into the camper shell, installed a Dome light with RTV (hope it holds) and a External Power Port.

Got this Battery Pack / Jump Starter for Christmas, Mounted it in the bed, Can Charge off of the external power port, then have it there if I need it.

Made a first Aid Kit out of a NVG Ammo Can I have, mounted it in the BED, I think it turned out half way decent.

Painless Wiring Auxiliary Fuse Block

Decided I would try and do a little better on wiring my accessories up on this truck then I have on my other rig's. Went with the Painless Wiring Auxiliary Fuse block, has 7 fused circuits, and is wired with a relay so it is only active when the ignition is hot. Super Easy Install, am very happy with it.

http://www.painlessperformance.com/w...v.php?sl=70118

Mounted right next to the Stock Fuse Block in the engine compartment, So far only running the CB, CB Amp and power back to camper shell. So still got 4 slots left.

Installed a couple smittybilt Jerry Can Mounts to hold my fuel and water cans, installed through the bottom of the bed, there is still just enough room to access the Bed storage compartments, will have to pull the cans out to do so, but at least wont loose the use of the compartments.

Almost got all the small stuff out of the way, next couple small things are a CO2 Air tank and looking for a fire extinguisher with a good mount, and then just need to set aside some money for the big upcoming stuff, Lift, ARB Bumper / Winch and tires.

Well managed to get some more minor things done on the Tacoma this week.

Ordered some LED Map lights and Dome light from amazon http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 for 15 bucks, and I have to say these things really work! They are bright! It is not the typical soft light from stock dome lights, it is that harsh bright white light, but you sure can see a lot more. The dome light is not a huge change but the map lights for sure.

Oh and thanks to this youtube video to show me how to pull apart the map lights http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SNxu2_p5NkQ

Ordered a trailer hitch from hitchanything.com http://www.hitchanything.com/2005-20...and-55513.html for $150, pretty happy with it, also included the wiring Harness that just tapped right into the stock connections, It is really a two man job to install but managed to knock it out on my own.

Also Installed some cheap Driving Lights from Wal Mart under the rear bumper, figure they will help out when its super dark out in the mountains, or can aid with setting up camp at night. I wired them independent on there own switch, so don't have to be in reverse if I need to use them.

My super high speed fabrication of a rocker switch panel, will probably switch out with those really nice rocker switches that fit right in the slot.

Ordered a Fire Ext. mount online http://www.webstaurantstore.com/buck...472700226.html to add to the rest of the junk I got mounted in the bed, works good, nice and secure.
